Ragequitting in ranked

Intøxicated··1 votes·805 views

Why did I just lose 22 LP with two ragequitters on my team? and don't give me the whole "well statistically everyone gets ragequitters and blah blah blah. I don't care. I really don't care anymore. I'm tired of this being an issue, I shouldn't play this game and worry more about people ragequitting than worry about actually playing the game. It's like a new minigame I have to play, kiss enough ass to keep my team from ragequitting. It's unacceptable. And why is it so common in the first place? Why do you allow this to go on? I know you can tell if someone is actually having connectivity problems or if someone closed the program. Just ban them already, at least from ranked. Who cares if it upsets them? You have at least 4 people that have a miserable time because of them, then they go into the next match already salty an oh look now your community is increasingly toxic due to a handfull of assholes ragequitting, or the good ol' feed and leave.

riot has no control over people who rage quit, people who are negative and want to surrender since 2 min either who are just as bad because they do not try what so ever . i play heroes of the storm and relly dont run into that i just run into peopel who do not want to listen, they think you need to go for the object nonstop when in all actuality thats only true on like 2 of the maps and not getting boss asap which is liek a mobile drag that pushes lanes for you. or on this game poeple say they can carry but then blame you for dying 1 time and also onb thsi game peopel get caught and die. this game is literally decided off of one play and one play is all to lose you the game

That's the thing, they do. they can Ip ban them. Easy peasy.

Edit: Fine you don't like IP bans, Ranked bans, account bans, anything would help at this point.

Easy Peasy - Banned a PUBLIC IP ADDRESS - that user resets their router, gets a new IP and they are Back. So... no, it's not easy peasy. Oh and someone else tries to connect with that IP and can't get in because it's banned... even though they did nothing... hurp durp.

don't be stupid, if they can't connect with that IP they can just super easily reset it right, isn't that what you just said? here's the thing, it takes awhile to get another lvl 30 account so eventually they will learn to stop ragequitting or they lose their account not to mention anything they bought with RP.

So wait... your plan is to BAN anyone that AFK's on a game? Right now we have people losing their minds over getting a WARNING about AFK'ing on a game, but on ONE afk you want to BAN the account and you're telling me not to be stupid? Or are you implying that Riot is the one that gives the users IP addresses? Because that's what you made it sound like, in which case again, you're calling me stupid?

You just said it's super easy to get a new IP address, then tried to say that if some innocent person was assigned that IP they wouldn't be able to play, but considering how easy you just said it was to get a new IP it's really a non issue, why did you even bring it up then?

Also, yes. Ban them from ranked, I don't care if it's an hour for the first offense. If you disconnect due to a connection issue you probably don't need to start another game anyway. Unless your internet or power goes out multiple times a week there would be no danger of a false positive.

the reporting system is the problem. 70% of all reports (100000s of reports) are for intentional feeding. Like 0.001% of those are actual legitimate cases. The community cried wolf. There's no real policing, just community tribunal bs.

Provide facts to the made up statistics you just spewed please. There's no wolf crying on AFK - it's automated and people are punished all the time... try again.

Ok , so maybe not 70% but intent feeding is the most common. No crying on AFK since there's a legitimate system for that, but your post is about rage quiters or trolls. If I want to sit in base and dance and not go AFK, then you report me, but nothing really becomes of it because people are punished by reviewers of the tribunal and no one has reviewed a tribunal in over a year due to maintenance.

3yr old post based on Reform cards from the old system which didn't include Leaverbuster or the new ban system... try again.

You're the one that says the Report system is a bunch of people "Crying wolf", but it's an automated system that bans based on words being used... but this thread is about AFK which has jack and shit to do with Reports other than people getting reported in Fountain which is combined with Leaverbuster to accomplish the same ends.... so you say "Like 0.001% of those are actual legitimate cases. The community cried wolf. There's no real policing, just community tribunal bs." which is just hollow bitching.

Intøxicated1 votes

So you think this game doesn't have an afk/ragequit problem? Is that what I'm hearing? This automated leavebuster crap hasn't reduced the rate of which I have an afk on my team or the other team one bit. In fact I'd say it's worse now that I've ever seen it.

Then bring back the manual *&^% tribunal... It wasn't perfect but it was better than what we have now.

They can ban the ip, but it isn't effective anymore, because you can just change your ip. Some systems even do it automatically

Intøxicated1 votes

Then ban the account. They will eventually run out of lvl 30's. Why does no one want solutions? All anyone ever wants to do is say "it won't work lets do nothing"

Stargleam1 votes

I never said "Lets do nothing" And there are mesures in place to avoid afk's. Simply, ip bans would't work and banning level 30 accounts isn't exactly going to change much, either they'll level back up to 30 (if they've the patience) Or, given they already don't care about Riots T&C they'll just buy another account. The best solution is to punish the people who do it, through the ranked bans etc.

Intøxicated1 votes

I know someone who bought an account actually, They no longer have it or their other account. And that's what I'm talking about, Ranked bans, then account bans if they still do it.

Stargleam1 votes

Seems like a good idea. As i said, its already in place though. I've had a friend get banned for something like 75 ranked games. It works for some, not for others. But in they end, the others get banned

IP banning, of any sort, is a horrible idea. Some people have siblings/roommates who play on the same IP. Just because one of them is toxic, doesn't mean the other is...
