This game could use a new map design.

Over the last 8 years Riot has not changes the league map at all leading to the same type of gameplay and stale meta. DotA has moved baron (rosh) twice in the last 4 years, redesigned both jungles from scratch twice (not just changing camps but changing whole layouts drastically to promote new movement), and resized all ramps and terrain to better support new types of gameplay.

Keep in mind Dota doesnt come out with new heroes often, perhaps once every 1 year if that. How many champions have come out in the game in 8 years that can use the map better than the vanilla champions?

This isnt a Dota > LoL thread, its a suggestion that i think could compliment meta shift and overall gameplay... unless people want the meta to be this way forever. Would this be too drastic of a change for this game?

Dota has to change that it make cause of the ablity to manipulate lanes and waves with removal of trees. Certain game play elements are becoming healthier/ cleaned as they account for the mechanics of the game.

You need to prove that league's map NEEDS an over haul, not that you WANT one.

These Dota maps are not very symmetrical and force certain game play that is desired in Dota but not necessarily in league.

Changing the map does not mean a meta change in its self. The goal of the jungle/ tree placement in league has different purposes than it does in Dota2.

Could their be improvements? maybe

When Riot did the map clean up/update a few years ago they spent a lot of time doing research and felt this was the most optimal setup for their desired game play.

I don't agree. I want to learn how to play as a team and how to use my champ's abilities with those of my team against those of my opponents. I don't want to be relearning a new map, like ever.

We got a new map/jungle in season 5 + scuttle, riftherald and new drakes and changes to the buffs/baron buff and smite buffs,smitebuff removal + now plants etc... basicly every season jungle changes were made xDD So saying that riot didnt change stuff for 8 years is a bit over the top ;D So i wouldnt say that nothing happend to the map/gameplay but an alternativ terrain for a special event would be nice. They already change the "gameplay" with the gamemodes, but not a "new new" alternativ map till today. But you can also play TT, if you want something different for now :D Dominion and Ascension(dont know how to write it) gave alternativ maps too, but were made into gamemodes only. But again, it could be a new map in a gamemode typ game, a permanent alternativ map or different "alternativ maps" like you have in Shootern could be tricky in terms of balance and queue times.

How about making the Jungle actually be mirrored instead of reversed so Blue Buff is always near Top Lane and Red Buff is always near Bottom Lane.
