After 10 years I uninstalled league
Season 9 just broke me. Game was unbalanced throughout it's history, but now it's on another level It feels like the balance team used to nerf a champion that is causing problems in the next patch, but now it's like they went missing. Yes, there used to be broken champ of the patch, but now it's ridiculous. Tank meta used to be boring when watching LCS, but it at least felt a bit more fair to play against then no tanks an everyone just gets one shot.

Ability design Something about the design language has also changed. I mean pantheon's q it's theoretically dodgeable, pyke q, pyke R is also theoretically dodgeable, but it's more like missable. You have to just have a quick one-click dash or flash. The design language went from providing a fair dodgeable ability to - there's going to be a wind-up, but really you can't react, you must predict.
-
Dashes... and slows... Remember when you had to make sure to keep your eyes on that one assassin that can dash on to you when playing Viktor or Xerath? Now you have to keep your eyes on 4 dashes at least. Also slows. Fun fact - Kha Zix has a 90% slow for 2 seconds, which is basically a root if you don't have a ton of dashes.
-
Ability clarity. Also, look at the reduction in clarity. Pull up a video of pantheon q and thresh q or blitz q. Can you find where the spear actually is? Can you hear when exactly it is fired? Dare I say it's not just pantheon it's tons of champions that are now designed just on an entirely different level compared to even just a year or 2 ago.

Essay long ability descriptions Pantheon q has 6 paragraphs of text + 2 number descriptions. Just fuck off. As if they lost the beauty in simplicity. Ok so I can learn what it does when I play pantheon, but if I have to keep in mind 6 paragraphs about each of the 4 abilities of 100+ champions there's a problem!!! Just for the love of god please stop overstacking champion kits. When a friend asks what an ability does I am supposed to just explain in 1 sentence. I am not supposed to start with "well... get yourself a cup of tea maybe? it's going to take a while." And of course, how is anyone supposed to balance all these numbers and effects?
-
Too many champions 145 champions you have no know... Just there has to be something done about this. Create League of Legends 2, or maybe rotate the champions with patches? No joke a professional LoL player could not ban a champion, because he couldn't find it. And of course, how are you supposed to balance them all and with each other?

Removal of Tribunal (toxicity) This was the best thing ever added to League of Legends and it only needed better rewards for more players to review it and train an AI like CS:GO does atm. It's an oldie, but the levels of toxicity were way down and you actually felt like there were punishments. Now you can literally play RANKED games just be an asshole troll around say terrible things laugh about it and have no punishment.

So many interactions with a rift. Plants, scuttle, plates, different dragons. I am not kidding when I say even now I am not 100% sure what exactly Elder Dragon does. How am I supposed to teach someone about all of the interactions on the rift? How am I supposed to keep everything in mind myself? Like what if an enemy walks into a river and gains movement speed and AP, due to his Water Walking and now he runs faster than me. Please just have fewer things to worry about. Because even when playing almost every day I am struggling to keep up. Imagine how that looks to someone new. You just add add add and don't every remove things - the future is clear things will burst (historically the fate of every MMORPG, this will come to a MOBA like LoL soon too).

Champion design. Sylas has a heal. A massive heal. Does it look like just a regular looking guy with a man bun and no shoes should have a heal from just dashing at you? No. Soraka looks like a druid mystical forest create so you can kind of expect that. Vlad is like a vampire, so you also expect it. Ekko jumps in time so 1st time might be a surprise, but you also expect it. But this dude, it doesn't even match his theme. Qiyana also with her abilities just looks... Also, admit it - a lot of new skins that come out just looking from the art you can't be sure which champion it is. Uninspired. There are great ones like Neeko, but the strongest thing League of Legends had is starting to crumble.

Hitboxes Ashe R. Enough said. You had 10 years, I've lost all the hope.

Ranked system On one account I get +22 +20 on another I get +15. I have to keep playing daily to keep up in a HIDDEN MMR in diamond or I will start naturally losing more than winning. Plus there are no more incentives for reaching a high level of play. Honestly, the only reason I've been even sticking this long is for the clash to go live. Because that was like the best game experience I have ever had of any game.
Riot has always been slow but recently they have become even slower with the development and fixes. The only explanation I could possibly think of is that the balance team is like 4 people trying to balance a 145 champion game and having to push through corporate management to get them out. The development team is maybe like a single team of 6 people. I can guess that the game is understaffed or something is just wrong.
Finally, Even if everything is fixed, I still think League of Legends has one thing coming to it which is inevitable - too many things. This just raises and raises the level that you need to get into the game. Like when Lineage2 or WoW after too many patches it loses simplicity due to devs just adding without removing. It just feels like the game will start dying very soon due to it. I don't know it esports will carry it for much longer. It has already tapped the World market with all the different regions. Profits will stop growing so in our world that means the board of directors will panic and cut funding focus more on other games. It makes a lot of sense to add a mobile version and diversify to different types of games.
