Taliyah's W unintuitive to use ?

Am I the only one who thinks that Taliyah's W is super unintuitive and "clunky" to use ? For my understanding it should work like Viktors E. So a straight knockup would not be possible (since there would not be any time inbetween casting and choosing the direction if you use smart cast but which in my opinion is also not necessary, if you want to keep distance you cast it to the side, otherwise you cast it to you or away from you) but it would be more intuitive and fluid to use.

Actually for Viktor I have to turn off smart cast on E, it behaves super strange. But the way it should work as smartcast is the way Thaliyas W should also work.

click on the location, drag to the direction the knockup should be. After that there will be the delay of 0.25 or whatever the spell delay is, but the cast would be without waiting between setting the location and choosing the direction.

I use smart cast and i am doing great on this champion. Very well. Her abilities are awesome.
