When the match start and the jungle goes to the first camp. Is it better to smite the monster first thing when the monster appears or wait for it to be near death ( <390 I think it was) to smite?

Melledoneus3 votesFor Gromp, you smite first. The buff deals more damage and you clear quicker and more efficiently.
For wolves, smite last.
Raptors, usually smite last.
Krugs, smite the big one and focus the little guy.
Blue, if you smite at all, smite it when you're low on mana if there's no danger of it getting stolen.
Red, when you're low or you want to finish it off quick for the health boost.
Scuttle crab... well, try not to use smite if you can. This one should only be smited for scuttle steals.
Fondling Gems2 votesDepends. Imo Krugs smite first. Gromp smite last. The krugs buff just makes the first camp much easier. In either case if the enemy wards it smite last.

Krugs buff you want to last longer, so you have it for more camps. Gromp buff is less important for clearing, so having smite charges up earlier if you use it on cooldown is better.
oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votesit varies from jungle to jungle but if im trying to start gromp i want to smite it early because the buff from gromp helps me kill gromp faster and smiting as well does more damage so i clear gromp fast and have a bit of the buff to help with wolves then i take shuttle crab by blue then take blue and by the time i get back to blue my smite is back.
if you are starting krugs smite late so you can use the buff to help with red and take red right away go .
but something i never see anyone do with krugs is to kill the small on 1st, hear me out... it does more damage the the big one , kill it then the big one smite, go to red. same thing with the chicken heads... kill the small ones 1st then kill big one, the small ones does more damage. also smite late on chicken so you have the vision to see wards and it will help clear wards in mid so you can provide gank pressure. if you are playing junglers who do aoe damage killing small krug then large or small chickens 1st isnt as important cuz you are doing aoe damage to all. but it will help with your hp bar.
