Underwhelmed by the Lissandra buffs @Meddler

[slayer-jinx-unamused] I honestly hoped for more, especially due to the fact that we have been waiting for quite a few patches... I guess its ok what Meddler changed but it doesnt truly do much! HerLissandra Q mana cost reduced is perfect as she does need that but her CD on her ult was just fine, but what wasnt fine is her passive AT LEAST not with the reworked mana flow band( bad on her). Lissandra problem was always the long cd on her w and e combined with the low damage... Please consider making her a new passive that augments other abilities and maybe increasing w damage or lowering its cd...

Meddler has kept quite on her since 8.4 as he mentioned changes that need to be made but hasnt said anything since... I cant imagine a passive change taking so long... I believe that they dropped her since she isnt as popular as lux

Actually he said a lot since then because I asked everytime he posted his Gameplay thoughts and he answered almost every time. He said he is still working on them but he was very busy so there wasn't a lot time so 8.8 will be unlikely. Then he went to Japan and meanwhile we got those buffs.

So I hope the post on friday will bring us some clarity.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I'm pretty sure these are just a few token buffs to help her laning phase while the other changes are being worked on. They've been transparent about wanting to rework her passive, and they wanted to give her a few easy/safe changes in the meantime.

With that said, I really don't understand why Liss's W can't get the same treatment Elise got on Cocoon in season 5 when they changed the duration from 1-2 seconds to 1.6-2 seconds. If they would just flatten the root duration to 1.5, it would at least justify the cooldown and free up skill points to rank E earlier.

That gives us more early damage, rewards landing E, and allows more opportunities to engage. Also, ranking E second would give Liss some form of poke, even if it's slow and risky compared to actual poke mages. Right now she contributes nothing to siege or pre-teamfight skirmishes, and Annie is really the only other top-tier wombo mage with that weakness (which is a pretty huge weakness).
