How is this game so popular.

Just took a break from league for about 5 months. Hoping Riot would make some balance changes. I come back first game i learn annie gets a buff. Like where does rito get these ideas. Will be puting it back away for another 6 months. I get 40 fps on Dota 2 and rather play that since its more balanced then this game. Please Rito 2 Years ago atleast not all the broken champs were geting buffed. Just think of the Word NERF. And run with it #GoodbyeLeague

"I get 40 fps on Dota 2"

Most random comment ever.

DOTA is way more unbalanced than league atm.

I like league and am still having fun with it. I think it just gets better.

I do have to agree with you on Annie though. She just seems ridiculous. For a burst mage that can melt your face, Tibbers is just a little powerful.

I played Syndra against her. I could outplay her completely and kill her but as long as she was able to use her ult Tibbers would just enrage and kill me. I like that Tibbers feels threatening but the whole I can't kill her without dying myself feels kinda cruddy.

I don't think anyone who's played league since the early seasons would argue that it's better now.

The funny thing is that, given Riot's "state-of-the-game" style posts, they seem to know exactly what's wrong, they just never do anything about it.

"Generalists are bad" - So we've reworked items and masteries to give EVERYONE damage, so now you can bring durability, mobility, damage, and utility all from the same champs! (Insert the meme about Lee SIn's champion spotlight role description).

Meanwhile, Riot goes out of their way to make more work for themselves by messing with an entire class's items...

Compared to other games, Riot's balance team is pretty good. They do have occasional woopses, but they fix them -- most of the time there is no completely-OP-pick-or-ban champion. There are exceptions (like now), but they're fixing it next patch.

Contrast to, say, hearthstone's Dr. Boom (or I could give example to other games) which is much more OP than the most OP champion in league compared to alternatives AND doesn't get balanced out (while other things do).

Sure, Riot balancing could use some improvement. But overall, it's better than what I've seen most places, good balancing is not easy to achieve.
