Does karthus or skarner main exist

I played 14 games yesterday and i saw 12 yasuo mains. Why does Riot game buff or rework popular champions. Why not rioters buff or rework (gameplay update not visual) dead champions. Skarner, Xerath, and other not-popular champ [zombie-nunu-bummed] . I'm sick to seeing yasuo, fizz, mf. I show yasuo main karthus and he said " He's fun but not strong like yasuo" Am i only one who think rioters only want to keep yasuo and others to meta and forgetting least played champs.

[zombie-brand-clap] It's been so long when i have saw Xerath main.

There are Karthus and Skarner mains, it's just that they don't really play those champions in Ranked while they remain unviable. This is also why I don't buy the argument of champions like Lee Sin or Yasuo having high play rates because they're well-liked, because players in Ranked go for what works and what's competitive, rather than what they prefer.

It has been a while since I played them,but I like Skarner / Karthus . mainly due to their capability to mess with people. even went and got M6 skarner,as I played him like,every game after I got him(I picked him cause skarner was one of the first champs I played) though currently I have been doing Ryze Azir RekSai Varus all that....

Skarner is incredibly strong, he doesnt have a true gap closer but he could def exist

I was a Skarner main... till the juggernaut rework.

I still play him but not nearly as much

Dude I've been playing slot of Karthus lately. He's very underrated. His level 1-3 is stupidly powerful because his Q does double damage if it hits one target (I'm sure you know that). Also his E restores Mana on kill so it's like Annie, with Better range and a shorter CD. While his ult dmg is relatively weak, he can be very tanky and shreds with his Defile. If paired with Soraka or another healer he is even more deadly. If they have a lot of tanks throw your W down because it reduces their MR as well as their speed. You can play him as a DPS backline with your Q's or get in the fight and peel for everyone because the enemy is like "ow this defile wtf kerthos pls". Grab a rylais and abyssal mark and boom, they slow af and take 10% more magic damage. Lately I've been playing DPS Mage Karthus and the enemy either focuses me or tries to run off.

Karthus is actually a strong pick against melee as well especially Yasuo, because if he wants to trade with you, just toggle defile and start throwing Q's on top of yourself. He will either eat them or try to avoid them and miss harass/farm because he's spending too much time avoiding your Q's (still taking dmg from defile). Once he backs off throw your W down and get free double dmg Q's.

Even though I play mostly top, I'd say I'm a Karthus main. He's my favorite Champion and the one I am most comfortable playing mid. I play him top occasionally too. If I didn't think I could get higher in the ranks playing top than playing mid, I'd be playing mid mostly playing Karthus and some Lissandra.
