Off meta supports

I know Jarvan IV support has been around for a few years so it is not a new idea, and it works really well if executed well, but lately I have grown tired of people who try to "meta" shame me. I do pretty well with him, but every couple matches or so I get those one or two toxic teammates that try to pick on me for picking a non meta support. J4 supp is probably one of the best non-meta supports imo. I have seen him compared to leona support a lot in posts, but I think his main initiate is very similar to alistars, but A LOT safer in most cases. His combo doubles as an escape too and his ult is similar to yoricks trap thing which is nice for trapping the enemy making it harder for them to escape. The slow from his ult is like a bigger version of raduin's omen's active, it kind of like iverns shield but different. A surprisingly large amount of people tend to be okay with me playing J4 support and I have brought it into ranked for season 6 and had a 60 something % win rate. Earlier today in one of my matches our midlaner went afk for a good 5-10 mins and while they were gone the enemy midlaner roamed bot a couple times and when our midlaner game back they tried to blame me for picking j4 as a support for being why we lost lane. Our lane was pretty even before the ganks aside from our jgler getting caught out in the enemy jg and the enemy adc killing him. But that kind of crap annoys me. I feel it would be different if I had lvl 7 mastery for jarvan IV but since i play him exclusivly as a support, I build him tanky with some support items, it is a lot harder to get an S rank. One of my recent matches I went 2/11/49 and I got a score rating of A+ while my adc and one of my other teammates got S- ranks. I usually play j4 supp with a mf, jhin, or jinx adc with a few other rare exceptions. I noticed if I would have an off game when I would jg with a champ people would sometimes blame me for mistakes they made (ie overextending with no wards) but this happened more if I had lvl 6 or lower masteries, but with my lvl 7 sej jg not many will complain, though often I perform very well with sej jg. Just because something isnt in the meta doesnt mean you cant play it, unless it just does not work then you really shouldnt play it, but j4 support works quite well against most meta supports he may stuggle a bit with a nami and tahm kench but other than that there isnt much of a downside to j4 supp unless you screw over an ally with your ult. I am not a big fan of the new alistar, but maybe I just need to give him another try, but I prefer j4 supp as a replacement for alistar. Greenfathers gift with j4s passive is great for poking early on and the attack speed aura that can affect your entire team is a great ability to offer to the team for taking objectives and in teamfights. The new keystone is amazing on him and gives a decent shield for when you want to start a fight or for peeling. Anyone else have an off meta pick, doesnt have to be in the support role, that they enjoy playing, but get crap for picking it? I know there is the singed support who used to take smite, but riot gave him some crap about it and forced him to have to use exhaust. There is a video about it on youtube but idk if I am allowed to advertise someones channel on this forum, so I wont, but I am sure people would be able to find it out since the singed has the highest mastery points for the champ. I think I got a little off topic, but I really needed to get this off my chest.
