For a champion with so much power and team fight/cleanup ability she really has no counter play to her whatsoever at the current moment. Lane counters do not make a difference; her specific type of roam is toxic to the game. I cannot tell you how many times I've spectated a katarina going bot for a double kill regardless of the warnings mid has sent over. I cannot stand playing against katatinas due to her global pressure. Any time I am in game I am always on edge after team fights because what team fight doesn't leave your health at half and sure enough if she is not banned you can guarantee a triple at the least.

If you look at the charts, the only champ able to keep her at a 50% w/r is Malz, which is ridiculous. Riot, please akali katarina. If assassins are all going out of style, then make them all go out of style. Don't leave this champ to be a constant threat to soloQ.
