I would just like to know if seasons before the previous season (in this case season 7) would affect your placements. I ask this because before, I was banned with chargeback in season 5. They told me I only had 2 weeks to repay the debt. Fast forward 3 years later, I looked back to it, and I found out that I was able to repay that debt still now. In season 5, I was bronze 4 (yeah, pretty shitty, I know.) I'm pretty damn sure I've gotten better at this game, and I would like to know, would the mmr from season 5 set me back when I finish my placements? Say If I win 7 of my 10 placements on this account, and win 7 on a completely fresh account, all with the same scores (I know the odds are so low, you would think it's impossible). Would I be the same rank, or will I be a lower rank on this account?

Ranked is god awful this season, alot of players left and now we're just left with newbies everywhere and its a COMPLETE dice roll more than ever.

A lot of factors go into these placement games, but i'm almost positive that being placed in season 7 does effect mmr soft capping. Riots suppose to be looking into that for next ranked season.
