RIot should implement location based matchmaking, or at the very least split up east and west

I know i'm a bit late to the topic but I wanted the situation to cool off before I write this. Myself and some of my friends have quit league/playing a lot less due to the server move, most of us had their ping increased by 40+ I know that to some people this is perfectly fine, but some other people like myself have high standards for ping. I think the US and Canada is just too big of an area to have all game processes in one location. A better solution would be to have multiple game servers across the US. for example having servers in Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, and Orlando (this is just a rough example) this way everyone should be getting sub 40 ping if they have an optimal internet setup. I know that a counter argument would be if people in a party are in different spots in the country, But I think a good solution to this would let the party select which server they want to put the game on, so that people who are ok with having more ping can "take the blow" for people with lower ping tolerance. I know that riot has the money to implement this and I think they really should. I don't think there is really much reason to go against this because people who have greatly benefited from the server move will benefit further. I don't want to come off as a "salty west coaster" but I really do think this is a great idea.

My guess is by the time riot could even get a second server up to par they probably can start reducing ping meaningfully. Would rather like to see riot work with Google or somebody on rolling out fiber fast lanes or something.

My main concern with this overall would be separating the pro players from the east coast players. Would basically force everyone that wants to be someone to play on the west coast server due to that being were the best players are. Second would be if pro players can play with west coast ping and be challenger rated I just don't understand why other people can't?
