Season 5 Elo System?

Hi, I have questions as to how the new elo system starts. This account is my 4th account that in Season 4, got placed in bronze division. I had many leavers and poor games on my 10 provisional of Season 4. Now, a few days ago i logged in this account to see what skin i recieved for riot and decided to climb the account out of Bronze. Before season 4 ended, i had climbed almost to bronze 1, and would have gone higher if i had more time. I began the Season 5 provisional thinking that this account would make at least silver 5 or 4 by the time i ended. With six wins and four loss, i ended up in surprisingly...bronze four. Can anyone explain this to me?

its a soft elo reset so its meant to bring you closer to average mmr which is 1200 elo. but lets say you lost the games where your mmr was at its highest and where losing to higher elo players but winning with lower elo players. You get a placement more like yours. Most people will get placements similar to yours where your down a couple divisions, but if you think your better then where you are just carry. Bronze is like playing against bots for me and many players

No, that cant be correct. Like i said, this is my 4th account...and i admit i am not a professional...but i am a silver/gold player. I asked the players who i was teamed with and matched against what division they were in they had told me they were silver. The ones i lost were, my own fault yes...but i do not think the formula is correct. I read another bronze 1 player went to bronze 5 winning 8/10 and i know personally someone who won 8/10 and went from silver 1 to silver 3. Its cool for you to add that playing bronze is like bots for you but its really irrelevant to my question here. I understand its a soft reset, i dont know how the formula of 60-80% win ratio = lower division though. If you have to win 10/10 to stay your s4 elo...what is the purpose of provisional????????/

i was plat 5 last season and got placed gold 4 i didn't whine about it i just climbed back to plat.

its a reset you don't stay the same elo you started at, or why else would it be called reset. Challenger players go to plat 1 after the reset, what would be the point of just leaving everyone at the same point they where at. Is it being elitist to say just climb to wherever you want to climb to? riots system is weird you just got to live with it in climb

I am asking, if you need to win 10/10 to stay the same division...how the hell is that a reset?
