Why was he nerfed??? He was already weak to everybody else, his W was already bad, any cc stopped it. If he did good, he did alot of damage how scary is that?? Now its just w for 2 seconds and he dies completely worhless compared to any other mid. I got to master 6 sol before you fucked him up, please at least give him the old chance he had, then i could at least ouskill people despite every assasin in the game countering me.
Yeah I'm not exactly a fan of his new style either. The W change especially, completely out of left field. Instead of removing what made it weak they completely changed it. Many people have suggested that it becomes a toggle at max rank and I think this is perfectly reasonable since his pushing and roaming was gutted. At least he should scale into a proper battlemage.
Because mains are too good at him and can easily hurt high elo. The conqueror rework really helped hin also.
I'm sorry happy riot reworked him to me less fun to solve these problems and he is still having these problems meaning all Riot did was make him not fun.
For the same reason Azir has been left in the gutter, he is extremely good at Pro Play. Why is he goot at pro play? Because the teams consist of Tanks and Mages unlike the simple Ranked teams that consist of apes and assassins

What a magical champion. His voicelines. His model. Absolutely beautiful.
He was the perfect champion to me. A unique mage. And one that had a very, very tiny pick and banrate. Just perfect. So I mained him. And maining Sol taught me so much about the game. He taught me how to deal with assassins, because that is the very first thing you need to learn when you choose to main a champion that gets hard countered by these assassins. Every game against Zed, or Kata, I would win because I knew how to punish them when they were weak, and I stomped their bot, top, and jungle with my map presence.
I loved it, what a playstyle.
And then they came out with this shit rework. Why?? Why did they rework him? He was fine as he was. In fact Sol's pickrate went down with the rework - because mains started quitting the champion after it had been decimated. It isn't the same champion. When I picked up Sol, I picked up a roam-heavy, early-midgame focused DPS mage that had a unique playstyle, clear weaknesses, and was super fun to play. Not just another burst mage.
Slowly but surely Riot is gonna rework all of my favorite champions until I have no one left to play. They did it to Sol. They did it to Ahri. They did it to Yuumi. I quit playing two of those three champions entirely because of how fucking bad their changes felt. Who will be next?

He deserved that nerf and I'm pretty sure this nerf isn't even enough. This W change as a matter of fact made him a lot stronger. 
is currently able to win every matchup with proper macro. the simple reason why people hate those changes is the fact that his playstyle really shifted from being this crazy good roamer to some weird mixture of burst mage. always had a very small and dedicated player base and a big chunk of people seem do dislike those changes because it doesn't seem like they hit the spot and I'm not sure if they even knew what to do with the guy, he was quite problematic since his release. Just listen to his player base more and give him a good damn skin finally
