He's still pretty decent as a pocket pick. You just have to be willing to purchase an insane amount of mana. and build durability.

You can be surprisingly tanky with good damage. Zhonyas, Seraph, Roa, Iceborn, Abyssal (or frozen heart), boots. Not necessarily in that order of course.

He's strong enough that he still sees competitive play.

He just needs his old ult scaling and a buff to his shield, when they buffed him he was kinda immune to magic damage and it got nerfed without any reason, i mean, wasn't he supposed to eat magic damage?

They even removed his m.r.\lvl, his base damages are laughable, getting fed with him has much less impact than getting fed with any other similiar champion because everybody has just higher base damages than you do.

I believe with the removal of silence he should have kept his old burst.

Old Kass was not countering mages only, but any kind of caster, they could have just made his silence based on the enemy AP, if AP% was higher than AD than silence on his Q.

This shield barely has any use, Morgana's is 10 times better.

I personally think he could use a buff somewhere, I'm not sure if I want to see the old Kass' riftwalk, but 20 second charges are REALLY long especially considering the ramping mana cost and the cooldown of R early game. If they don't plan to buff his R, they should bump the ratios on his Q or E up, or atleast enhance the shield. He's a much weaker version of what he previously was (granted he was borderline broken), but I feel as though they went a bit too far without any compensation.

I thought that too, and I believe that he needs a bit of love, but Kass is actually in an alright spot right now. Not a strong pick, but in an ok, if slightly below average spot.

Kass needs damage, mobility, or CC, and right now he has none. If you want AOE CC, pick Yasuo. If you want jukes and dashes, pick Zed/Ahri/LB. If you just want damage, go Fiora or Talon. Even Katarina is better at roaming since she can jump as soon as she gets a kill, and she survives lane so much better without a manabar. Kinda sad to see Kass as one of the worst assassins now...

I've played a good bit of Kassadin both before and after. I'm still having general success with him. The 20 secs definitely hurt. The mana ramp definitely hurts. If they either gave his R a buff or upped his damage on Q and E, it'd be much better. Also, the shield is pretty bad. Making it last longer would do a lot for him, that time is way too narrow a window to block damage.
