Ideas on how to nerf damage
This has been a prominent point of discussion on the boards as of late, but people aren't sure how to go about it; here's my suggestions:
- Reduce AP/AD granted by doran's items, and grant those stats vs minions only. This serves to
- reduce the early game aggression that scaling champions can dish out and
- make lane bullies pick up more aggressive items, therefore making them punishable if they aren't successful
-
Reduce base AD stats of all champions by 1/6th, and change jungle and minion HP to reflect this Giving champions more EHP.
-
Gut true damage and executes While they are good tools to have in game, the sheer amount of true damage available in the game negates a lot of armor/magic resist champions build, which, as a consequence makes tanks build damage to compensate for their sudden loss of tankiness
-
Make item stats scaling think of it as a ROA effect, while getting first blood should secure a significant lead for you, it shouldn't be a "GGEZ open mid". A lot of the time, since the effect of the gold injection is immediate, it hinders the laner who is behind to make any significance in the game (for reference, I play shen top. first blood usually leads to tiamat first back 1-2 minutes of farming later, at which point that lane is done.)
-
Increase turret durability and make all turret damage shoot lasers at champions (not at minions) Diving should be rewarding, and should be something you do when you are ahead, but the state of turrets now is just pathetic. Give all turrets increased durability, allied inhib/inner turrets should give movement speed and minor HP regen buffs when out of combat and turrets should shoot lasers like old nexus turrets that do amplified damage on a champion if they were tanking turret the last 2 seconds.

lower scalings on lane bullies, increase their stats. They're lane bullies right? they should have clear windows of power early game to make their play, and if they fail they should get outscaled. People like darius or draven should have the base stats to match that gameplay, but suffer if they cannot fulfill that role. At equal gold builds, a level 18 vayne should be stronger than level 18 draven, not by a lot but just enough if they were just auto attacking vayne would win by a significant margin. if the game ever goes late, scaling champions should be stronger.
okay end of rant
