Executioner's Calling

I know that there were threads like this on the old forums, but with riot going through and changing items that aren't really used, Executioner's Calling is the first to come to mind. I feel like I'm the only person I've ever seen build it before, and the grievous wounds effect has won me games that would have otherwise been impossible. I just feel that the item has a mismatch of stats on it, and just needs to be made for champions like a ad bruisers or casters to counter massive sustain champions they can't hope to out trade with.

The problem with EC is that by the late game it just doesn't given enough stats to justify keeping it. If it had an upgrade to give more of... anything, it'd be something that would see more use against champs that depend on regeneration/lifesteal (Mundo, Trundle, Aatrox, etc) in fights.

Yeah, I have used it one game, and actually lost because of it. Worst. Buy. Ever. it does have it's situational strengths, but for some reason, buying it set me way behind. Here are my ideas why: It is just raw crit, no other multipliers. It is exactly 100% gold efficient, not good when compared to any other damage item. Lastly, it is a dead end item, meaning you either sell it and lose money, or you don't sell it and stick with a sub par item. I don't think it deserved removal, because with some tweaks to its numbers/possibly giving it an upgrade into something stronger, it could be totally viable.

Well with atmas being removed, a buff to 40 ad and some added armor makes it a good replacement for bruisers that like crit.

Well as someone that plays said sustain champs, I would rather EC remain a niche buy, especially since nearly every mage builds Morellonomicon.

Grievous Wounds has the capacity to turn sustain champs into a free kill. Something that counters a champion so heavily should not also be a commonly bought item.

I know I'm going to miss executioners item especially against champions like Vlad, Nasus, Xin Zhao or Aatrox. I feel it may have been a situational item but all the situations I have used it in it has allowed me to duel much more effectively. Taking this item out is going to be a major buff to life steal or high health regen champions in general, and I'm disappointed that Riot would limit our item choices by removing it. I see no problem in it remaining it isn't like people were being forced by their teammates to buy it. I'm saddened that our ability to choose an item is being taken away just because some people cant make effective use of it. If the item was ineffective one could've added damage to foes with lower health or a maiming effect like Urgot's damage reduction passive to add to the executioners aspect of the weapon. Sorry for my rant please consider this.
