Unranked to College Level Competition- Advice Needed

Hey all! I'm currently in grade 12, and having been accepted into the University of Guelph, I have made trying out for the Uni league team a goal. At the moment I am a measly level 23 annoyance in the average game, I'll have matches where I get S ranked, but then others where I feed like no tomorrow. I love playing this game, and really want to take it to the next level. I'm aware this seems like an incredibly unrealistic goal, however when I set my mind to something I'll do whatever it takes to accomplish that goal (except playing support ofc). I was wondering if any fellow players had any tips to help me in my endeavor, and also, if they have a role they would recommend playing. I currently play mid and jungle, however I know mid is a very popular role, and as such it may be challenging to make the team playing as mid.

Any help is much appreciated! And thanks for taking the time out of your day to entertain my post.
