RIOT EAST COAST SERVER ISSUE 2/8/2015

When I started writing this post, I thought it'd be good to make it personal. Y'know, about how much I love League of Legends, it's my favorite game, I wanna be pro, that kinda crap. Then I realized that was stupid and I realized something. Riot simply doesn't care. I'm calling them out on this one, I seriously want to see an East Coast server. I want to know that I have the same ping as the guy all the way across the country. I want to know that my performance isn't inhibited by the fact that I'm not squatting over the server as I play this game. To even quote someone from another post they had about the same issue "Riot has has recognized East coast latency as unfair " Unfair. You're right it's unfair. I want to see an actual result. Don't give me false hopes and say "HURR DURR We're fixing latency issues HURR DURR, high ping and all this other garble, so don't worry kiddos, we're not 'doin a darn thing A HURR DURR." Maybe I'm immature. Out of line. Don't know what I'm talking about. Or maybe I'm just tired. But if it's anything, it's probably how angry I am at all of this. All I want is a fair chance to play just as anyone else does.

Yes, you are immature and out of line. These kinds of posts are really annoying to read as you're acting like a brat throwing a temper tantrum.

you wouldn't have the same ping as the same guy across the country, because he would still use westcoast server.

2 NA servers only limits competition.

I play league on the east and west coast A LOT because I travel.

My average ping in Colorado is 62-130 Verse my ping on the east coast, that is 86-110

So there you go. No matter if you're on the west coast, or on the east coast, it's basically the same, and most people that complain are children not responsible for their own households internet.

I live in Alabama.

My ping to NA = 130 - 145 My ping to LAN = 40 - 55 (LAN is in Florida)

It is a completely different game with lower ping, you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

I've got 62-80 ping from Florida before. That's where I live on East Coast. If you think 130 is normal, then

most people that complain are children not responsible for their own households internet.

I also obviously didn't say ping didn't matter. .2/ is negligible however.

I consider 120 to be 100% tolerable for normal games. Even though I said .2 is pretty small, I feel your 130's pain. I recommend never using wifi, and upgrading service if possible.

Not so much, on the person posting this, but to touch on this point:

How people make this claim, while also claiming they only lag is crazy. You're the ONE playing the OTHER game. Telling me I'm playing a different game then you is silly....I've played whole games out at 200 ping before guys...It's not hard to find lag. I have a roommate, and if netflix, and all the shit is on at once, I hit 200.

However we pay like $25 a month(lowest deal) for internet and I still get under 100 ping all day. 100 is clearly the bar. That's all I'm pointing out. Boohoo you can't play on 18-40 ping like Faker.

If you're Master 1 or w/e and that ping might be whats stopping you from going challenger, then looooool maybe. but for basically everyone else, this is a stupid topic if you can get at least 100 ping.

@tophatninja You're completely right. It's absolutely asinine to have a large latency difference between 2 areas of the SAME region. It's only fair that everyone should have the same experience playing the game. If Mr. California shoots a close range skillshot at me I'm dead. But if I shoot a close range skillshot at Mr. California he's going to instantly flash it, something I always wish I had low enough ping to do. But with 110-120 ping it's all up to prediction, possible, but very difficult to do.

If Riot can't LOWER the ping on East Coast, they should put a delay on West Coast so at least everyone has to play with 80-100 ping. It's like someone on East Coast goes to pick their first Pokemon, and they get a level 5. West Coast guy goes to pick a Pokemon, and they get a level 10. The game is just plain easier and more enjoyable depending on WHERE you live, and that's a really really stupid fact.

Anyone saying anything different is either a.) A West Coast player that doesn't care and just wants to troll or b.) Someone that just doesn't understand the meaning of the word "fair". This issue should have been addressed 5 years ago.
