Ideas for minor tweaks to Taric's new abilities

I've been playing League for a little over 4 years now, and Taric has always been one of my champions. I like how he played, and I love his rework. I think his Q - Starlight's Touch and his W - Bastion could use some minor tweaks so that he can stand up to rest of the crowd with his fabulousness.

  1. I think Q - Starlight's Touch should either have the base heal per charge rescaled to 15/30/45/60/75 from 20/30/40/50/60 or have the scaling per charge changed to (2% bonus health) from (1.5% bonus health), or even have both if need be. This should solidify his heal as being good, but not overwhelmingly strong.

  2. W - Bastion is the bread and butter of his kit. It's what makes all of his abilities flow like his beautiful locks of hair. Shouldn't Taric, then, be able to affect the scaling of it himself? I feel that the shield should be (5/6/7/8/9% of Taric's max health) or (6/7/8/9/10% of Taric's max health) instead of (8/9/10/11/12% of target's max health). This type of scaling rewards Taric for building tanky, like he should, just as his Q - Starlight's Touch rewards him for doing so. This should make Bastion feel more rewarding and have it compete as one of the abilities that need to be maxed first.

I don't think these tweaks would make reworked Taric too strong, but allow him to be more of a solid pick and compete with some of the other top picks. Let me know what you guys think in the poll and the comments.

I think the bastion one should perhaps scale off of taric's health since in a marksman lane you wouldn't build a tanky ashe or tanky vayne o.o;;

That's how I feel. But you also have to look into the broader spectrum of the game. You're not always going to be using Bastion on your Marksman. However, having it scale off the target's max HP would make the shield very weak, even in the late game. A marksman with only 1800-1900 health at level 18 would only get roughly a 222 shield. This is lower than most other shields' BASE shield amount. having it scale off of Taric's health would definitely improve it and reward you more for investing points into the skill and building tanky without being overwhelming.

I do agree with you that it seems a little strange that Bastion's shield is unaffected by any of Taric's stats. However, keep in mind that it indirectly scales off of Taric's armor, if you consider the passive on Bastion (which is hardly even a passive, as it only affects allies once it's cast on them anyway).

I see your point. However, I see the shield as something to help protect someone from magic damage dealers on the enemy team, while the armor is there in addition to reduce the more sustained damage of physical damage dealers. Either way, maybe the armor scaling could be reduced to (10/11.25/12.5/13.75/15% of Taric's armor) to compensate for the potential increased shield amount.
