Lagging uncontrollably since the Project addition

I play games on league fine, my ping is usually 24-30 and will have the odd spike for a split second of 80-100 or so but then it goes back almost instantly, today I played league and would constantly get ping of 200-300 & fps of around 90 whenever i went to fight a champion, when I had inevitably died due to the lag and would be waiting to respawn my ping would be back at 24 and would continue to be unless I moved anywhere close to any champions or objectives, I've tested my connection and have high speeds both download & upload speeds, can anyone help or is anyone experiencing something similar?
