Duo-ing in Placement matches

Hi, I've been duo-ing with a partner who's silver 2 (my main is plat 5) on my smurf and so far I've won 4 out of the 6 games I played on my placement matches.

I was just wondering if duo-ing with my silver 2 partner for my placement matches would prevent me from the chance of getting into gold after all the placement matches have been done?
