Heimerdinger Is Broken

Can anybody tell me how to file a complaint to LoL. Heimerdinger is broken and anybody that is a noob can play with him and dominate. I want LoL to nerf him down. He gets fed too easily and all his abilities are OP. Even when I am fed I cannot stop him. For instance last game I went 11/2 and that was in the 23rd minute of the game. I beat everybody else on the team except Heimerdinger. All his "machines" prevent anybody from getting close to him. He also takes no skill to use. I also thought I should mention that I was using Brand that game. That's not the point though. Most games I go in with, Heimerdinger dominates because none of my teamates can do anything. All in all, I beleive Heimerdinger needs to be nerfed down because of his tendency (i'm not sure if tendency is the right word) to not need skill at all to know how to use him; and that his abilities are broken. Can anybody please tell me how to file a complaint to LoL.

You're level 16. Keep playing the game, learn how things work, and maybe even play a few games as Heim yourself.

Usually pre level 30's are just smurfs that are trolling the forum. So.

On topic, I'm not entirely sure why his winrate is so high in all elos. In plat/dia he has a super low pick rate. It must be against teams with low aoe, melees, and an ADC with low range. Because it's rather easy to dodge his missiles and you just auto his towers before you fight him.

I felt like giving this one the benefit of the doubt.

Winrates are a poor indicator of power. As you yourself point out, his very low pickrate in upper divisions suggests that he may only be getting picked under 'ideal' (or near-ideal) conditions as a counter and/or complementing a coordinated strategy from his own team. In low divisions, on the other hand, many simply are not aware of how easy it is for most champions to counter him, and so get facerolled.

Not to use an ad hominem, but you don't have very much experience with the game yet. Heim definitely does have counterplay, although I can see how it would seem as though he doesn't. His area denial really isn't fun to deal with, but there are some tricks for dealing with him that can help. As you gain more experience, fighting him should get easier, or at least the counterplay should become more apparent to you.

Ok, to name a few that I've seen: Syndra tears him apart 9 times out of 10. She can basically throw his turrets at him or at each other to negate their usefulness. Ziggs has heavy AoE and can destroy the turrets without ever coming within range of them. Ditto for Xerath and Vel'Koz.

Ranged champions. Heimerdinger is the original oppressive unfun Azir. If you are melee you will not have fun. You can beat him with melee but it will not be a fun experience.

I will admit that a fed Heimerdinger is one of the absolute worst fed champs to have to fight against (Draven FioraJax XinZhao level scary) , because his turrets act as force multipliers, so when he gets strong, his turrets also do.

I know you may have had bad experiences laning against him, but at the start of the game, you must play hyper-aggressive on him. Destroy his turrets the moment he sets them up, with minion help of course, the key to shutting down heimer during laning phase is not letting him ever get 3 turrets up. If he does, then he will get very high CS without even trying, and will be impossible to dive. Never dive Heimer when he has 3 turrets up, it's what he wants you to do so he can R+Q or pop item 3157, and will always end with him getting a kill one way or another.

If you don't have high-frequency poke, then consider magic resist. item 3028 item 3001 are great items that provide magic resist without sacrificing effectiveness in lane.

summoner 11 against Heimer midlane works wonders against his turrets, especially with the new charge system on smite. At the very least, you will be able to grab every single cannon minion despite his best efforts to zone you.

Like Teemo, Heimer is a champion with strong early game harass who is just really annoying to fight against, but that's it. The way to beat them is to treat them like any other champion, don't by any means underestimate them but don't overestimate them either. Just farm when they have the edge on you and go in when they are vulnerable.

That teamfight though.

Actually pretty much every version of his ult is good for teamfights. Huge, high-damage, slowing turret on his Q, a tremendous burst on single target (okay if you do aoe), and a stun/slow that bounces 3 times covering a huge area.

As brand, you should have enough AoE to clear his towers, especially if you were that fed. Learn to bait his towers to dodge their lazer, then smash them faster than he can place them. The whole point of heimer's turrets are to allow him to create a realm of safety for himself. If you don't respect that, it's like not respecting Kat's ult and letting her channel it on top of you.

As for not needing skils, Heimer is about 90% skill shot reliant for his damage, which means that about 90% of his damage comes in a form you can avoid. Considering the Skillshot lazars on his turrets are controlled by AI, if you can't juke AI skillshot targeting, something that by definition is predictable in it's usage, then you need to consider that the problem isn't Heimerdinger. It's you.

Heimer counter play: Lux, Xerath, and Ziggs.
