Ranked AFK LP Loss

We've all been there. Stuck in a 4v5 during ranked and watching the opportunity to turn the game vanish. The struggle has become all too real now, as more and more often, an already toxic community out does itself with repeat leavers. My biggest issue is not the leaving itself, but the fact that I, as a struggling player, also lose LP for this loss. It's disappointing that RIOT hasn't created a system to detect a leaver and give the losing team a loss prevented.
