AFKERS and LEAVERS on Rank Games

Can League change it policy with the demotion/ losing about 16-21 LP in rank if the losing team has an AFKER/Leaver?

Because it is not fair that others are being punish for one person that is not there in the game. 4 v 5 hurts mostly if it is a person in lane compare to the jungler. Can riot punish the person for being an afker/ leaver instead of the others on the losing team?

I have made this statement a thousand times but I guess one more time doesn't help.

You have actually won more games due to 4v5 than you have lost.

Let me explain: As long as you aren't a leaver yourself, that leaves 9 other people in the game who are potential leavers. 5 on the enemy team and 4 on yours. What does this mean? The enemy team is about 25% more likely than your team to have a leaver. Simple as that.

Now how your brain is wired, you only remember the negative events where someone on your team leaves and you never remember those easy 5v4 games.

Yes, leaving is a problem, but it happens to everyone equally and sometimes it is nobody's fault. Accept it and move on with your life.

That does not even make any sense. They do not have a 25% chance of having a leaver. They are just going to end the game faster rather then the enemy team leaving. Your statistic fails.

I did not say they have a 25% chance of having a leaver, I said they are 25% more likely to have a leaver than your team.

You have 4 allies and 5 enemies, making 9 people other than yourself. So if one person leaves the game there is a 4/9 (44.4%) chance it will be on your team and a 5/9 (55.6%) chance it will be on the enemy team.

25% more likely means they are 1.25 times more likely, in which my original statement still stands as 44.4 * 1.25 = 55.6

Don't you lose more LP then gain at higher ranks?

Not necessarily. LP loss/gain is based on Rank vs MMR. If your MMR is lower than your actual rank, you lose more and gain less. If your MMR is higher, you gain more and lose less (with the possibility of skipping divisions even). Rank is visible but MMR is kept secret. You can get a general idea of your MMR by who you are matched with. If you are plat 3 and are matched with golds fairly regularly, your MMR is lower than your rank.
