Fix for matchmaking in Flex Q

So it's widely known that flex queue placed prettymuch everyone in the wrong elo, riot has tried to fix this, offering players one extra placement so that we can be placed in the correct rank. I thought it's great so i decided to play a game since i got placed in silver v (was gold 1 at the end of last season), but i played the placement game and my rank remained unchanged besides the fact that i got 29 lp for it. Anyone knows how to play the extra promotion?

If it didn't prompt you to play one it either means you finished your placements after the fix went out (so it grabbed one of those placements to do it) or it coincidentally grabbed the exact same rank (you would have been prompted before the game that it was an extra placement game).

There's a few stragglers (like new accounts and such) that the fix didn't change so from the posts it looks like it'll all be settled by next patch for sure.

Really doubt riot would place me in silver v tho, season 5 and season 6 i was placed in gold 5 and gold 3 respectively. And i did finish my promos before the fix went live, about 2-3 days before. Just kinda salty about it cause even tho i am tecnically silver 5 i still get matched both with and againt people around gold 3 - plat 3 making it pretty hard to climb (only got like 60% winrate at this point).

Problem is that the matchmaking in general isnt really good. there will be games where you plaay against g5 only while your team is plat1-3 only. Then there are games that you simply lose because the sololanes get outclassed and then botlane gets bullied or whatever.

im Plat1 in soloQ and im g3 in flex Q. now im expected to carry silver people against plats which will not work either. so thats pretty annoying. like having silver ppl in your placements to "balance" the lack of and high plat player on the enemy team (regardless if their whole team is plat3 e.g.)

Mmm hopefully they fix it by next patch then :/ If not at least you'll have solo/duo to fall back on for actual progression.
