Ult balance.

Stop balancing champions around ‘not having an ult’. Karma’s kit is a mashed up disaster of toxicity in theory because she doesn’t have a traditional ult. Instead she has an ult and a half at least in two mantra’d spells, especially the multi shield, but by the time anyone figured that out it was evidently too late. Sylas is even worse. ‘Oh he doesn’t have a defined ult. Let’s budget his kit like he only has three abilities ever instead of a better version of anything the enemy team picked for themselves and took hits to their overall power budget to facilitate.’ Sylas got capped out swain ult back when it mattered, so the only ult that wasn’t better on him than it’s owner was Darius. Before the surge of ap, malphite was a minion with an R button that let him fake like a champion. Sylas was a fully functional assassin bruiser mage tank diver before he stole malphite ult. Now he’s indescribably bullshit. The only champion they got close to correct was Gallo, who unlike the other two actually doesn’t have an ult. Obviously he does have a working r button, but he can’t make personal use of it and it’s like ultra trash for the average player. That being said, Galio in his broken state didn’t spike like everyone else at 6. He was still stronger than just about anyone he could be put up against at 6 because his numbers were degenerate, he had literal perfect wave clear, easy, solid combo , the champ was farking bonkers because ‘no ult’ never mind the fact his w used to literally be his ult.

There’s probably a case to include Yasuo on this list since his ult is conditional and his kit is massively overloaded, but prenerf ‘antimage’ galio still stomped him into the floor so we’ll give him a pass just this one.

Point being, think before balancing this way. For the love of god it can be that hard.
