Differences between high Silver and high Plat
So I just had 2 ranked 5v5s in a row against mostly silver teams. Everyone is plat in our team except our d5 jungler. What I noticed is that in terms of lane mechanics there are close to no differences, except in the bot lane, where even if we didn't kill them, at 15 minutes I had 140cs, while the enemy ad carry had 75, and we even played hypercarries like Trist or Jinx against Graves. We roflstomped them easy after we grouped, because they just kept getting caught, and didn't have that objectives oriented mindset, which made it pretty easy for us.
So this got me thinking, and I went to play mid on my silver 1 smurf. I played ez mid, against viktor, even cs ,but I died 2 times in lane. Second game, played ez against xerath, even cs,died 2 times again. Third game, played ahri against katarina, won in cs and killed him once with a flash charm and ended the game 13-3-14 with double the dmg to champions than anyone else. Fourth game I played Ryze against gnar(500games with that champ) top, died 3 times in lane, lost in cs. I tried my best in all games. It is true I almost never play mid, I main ad carry, but still, I am plat 3, they were silver 1-gold 5.
So, to all silvers/golds out there, stop typing much, only time objectives, focus on your cs, learn how to teamfight properly, and learn how to snowball a lead!! Even though that Gnar banged me in lane, he went for trinity and botrk and he died first in all teamfights. Those viktor and xerath games,we ended up winning too cause they just didn't know how to position in teamfights and were easy as hell to focus. And one more thing, learn to use actives people, botrk, zhonia, manamune, etc. Silver is the place where you see full ap mumu jungle, he goes in ults and dies, full ad gnar, full ad pantheon, and so on.
What happened in those games astonished me, I couldn't believe my eyes what a silver 1 xerath can do. I went back to my plat account and played ezreal mid, both close to perfect farm, 0 kills 0 deaths, nobody took any chances. I liked it more haha.
