Scariest Lategame Champs

There are a lot of champions out there, some early game, some mid game, some late game, and some generalists. However, I want to hear which champions you just wish you happen on your team when the time passes 50 minutes, and everyone is full build. It could be someone with too much peel at level 18 with some CDR, an insane splitpusher, someone you will never be able to kill, someone who will kill your entire team with their ult, or a combination of the above. To start things off, here are the top five champions for each role that I want to be on my team in the very late game.

Top:

  1. Nasus: With enough q farm, you can't stop the doge
  2. Poppy: Just press r and kill all of them while only feeling one champion's damage output and cc. Yes, she usually gets shut down early, but this is looking exclusively at late game
  3. Dr. Mundo: Relevant magic damage, just can't die once he gets enough items
  4. Sion: At 50 minutes, Sion will have quite a bit of bonus health, so good luck taking him down. Maybe not quite at the immortal status of Mundo, but a close second
  5. Singed: Again, you'll be lucky to reach the late game, but he is hard to finish off, and he does a lot of poison damage. Gets countered by everyone in lane, but counters teamfights

Jungle:

  1. Udyr: Madstone godyr might leave your lanes to die, but when he has a hundred feral stacks in the late game, you start being happy to have him
  2. Hecarim: Everywhere at once, heals from every piece of teamfight damage around him, does large amounts of aoe with a fear to boost, what's not to love about the party pony of Doom?
  3. Wukong: Dat ult. Nuff said
  4. Vi: She can either beat up any opponents while they try to kill your squishies, or ult stomp their squishies, both being useful tools in a teamfight
  5. Master Yi: Let's be honest, a six-item Yi can be obscenely powerful as a teamfighter or splitpusher

Mid:

  1. Katarina: She is powerful as hell in a teamfight, even if you don't get a good ult off. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNuWIZZaysU
  2. Akali: See champion, kill champion, hide in shroud, repeat. Especially in silver where I am and nobody else buys pinks against akali, she's pretty scary
  3. Veigar: If you're late enough for Veigar to have some farm, he can delete just about anyone, and the aoe stun helps
  4. Orianna: Difficult champion, but that ultimate has so much potential
  5. Zed: Waveclear, enough burst to kill anyone, good champ, scary to play against

ADC:

  1. Twitch: He should never reach this point if he is not significantly more skilled than anybody he's playing against, but that ult with youmuu's is outright game-changing, and he can also do remarkably well in a 1v1
  2. Vayne: Come late game, she does more single-target damage than just about anybody else, and the tumble helps keep her safe. We have all seen those pro Vayne mechanics videos with comeback 1v5's
  3. Jinx: Her damage output is massive, she has some solid range, and the global execute is a bonus. Not to mention that her chompers are pretty useful
  4. Tristana: She might not be as strong as she used to be, but that range, jump and late game damage is pretty massive
  5. Ashe: A weird choice, I know, but that aoe permaslow is quite impactful, and her ult can shut down the biggest threat on the enemy team for a while

Support:

  1. Sona: On the rise, great sustain, great poke, great aoe stun, and a movespeed boost to boot
  2. Janna: You will never EVER touch her carry if she knows what she's doing
  3. Leona: Nothing wrong with an aoe stun and insane tankiness
  4. Braum: Formerly known as Leona 2.0, I now see her as Leona 0.9, so not quite as good, but a close second
  5. Zyra: Decent damage, catch potential, and incredible disengage. Also I have a soft spot for champs with death passives

If aiming for late game, I'd say Shyvana top, she's nearly impossible to kill and still bring significant damage to the table. Nautilus in the jungle, he's a raid boss for a reason and brings an insane amount of CC to the table while still dealing sufficient damage to make any squishy run for cover. Mid would be Swain. His team fight presence is massive and he brings a lot of continuous damage. Support would be Taric, for his weak early game, he brings substantial dueling potential to the late game when built right and still has massive team fight potential. AD would have to be Kog'Maw or Varus, their ranged skills give them considerably high poke and both possess tank shredding skills that can make sieges a very good thing for their teams.

Tristana in soloq as adc lategame will just 1v5 from constant 800 range, 10000m jump, 10000 push ult + flash. Hf stopping it. Orianna will press R and destroy all ur carries, also has a very wonderful 5000000 dmg block from shield. You got Janna enemy in late? Hf 3 sec cd on all spells, zyra in late? oh sorry, it isn't a support anymore but an apc that will one shot you. Jax/Irelia/Ryze lategame? oh gg wp, you can't stop them m8. tanky as heck and one shotting your carries.
