I understand wanting to give Assassins a boost in vision control...

But they really shouldn't be dominating the vision game... Can we consider either reworking the vision passive to actually be a moderate amount of counterplay, or maybe move it to Edge of Night so Edge can have a niche and Assassin Vision control doesn't come down and shut down aggressive macro play on their very first item. Edge might need some stat changes after that. I'm Ok with that.

..

While we're here, can we finally acknowledge that there's a point where vision, turret effectiveness, survivability and general safety get so low that they start reducing aggression rather then encouraging it :s

Here's my proposal :

  • Remove the vision part from item 3147 but leave the damage
  • Bring it to item 3814 but only during the active. While the active being active (well makes sense), you can't be detected by wards but can see her, can destroy her (but not in a one-hit)

Boom solved.

In hindsight, want to add that this is the opposite of what was needed... Assassins need buffs in High Elos that don't negatively effect low elos to the point that most Mage/support/tank/adc mians honestly ought to just quit the game since there's 0 enjoyment for them in an assassin meta. Duskblade clears wards so easily, bronze players can do it fine since they'll always build duskblade. Destroying a ward is devastating in bronze-gold because people aren't on top of their ward game, only two or three people will be using their trinkeks well for anything other then warding the bush right outside their lane :s

love how you say "assassins" when it is actually only the AD part of it. but yeah vision needs some change

Yeah. To be fair, AP Anti-Vision item has a huge problem of "Mages would build it to." I don't think it's possible to make it something mages wouldn't need to buy.

I guess if the vision effect was strong for the early game, but fell off somehow like increasing CD, lower duration, etc. Since Assassins and burst mages could buy it first item, while most other mages would need mana first.

the whole AP class has this huge problem of "Mages would build it too" :/

might as well remove any vision control from AD items, and switch it to trinkets or runes.
