Why do people complain about "OP" champions

Aratez Treaty··5 votes·1,454 views

People always complain about certain champions becoming "OP," or "Broken." The thing is, any champion played right is annoying. Braum may not be able to solo a Lee Sin, but he can block Caitlyn's ult. The ADC is meant to kill, not the tank or the support. Assassins and marksmens should be the ones getting kills, and the others mainly assists (not that a support or tank is uncapable of killing, but feeding an ADC is actually really beneficial). Also, the "OP" champions are always changing because people learn how to really play them. Sometimes you mess up or another person is just better than you. Accept it, because Riot takes care of all the ACTUAL problems, not your problems.

For those of you who hate this post, you are entitled to your own opinion, whether it is right or wrong.

Uh...because everyone wants a fair shot at winning by playing champions they prefer, not the 10 that are the best options? Why is this a thread?

Each champion has a counter. What makes 10 out of 100+ champions the best? Each champion has a role. If you do any game other than ranked games, then you have no idea who you face before the game starts. I could name way more than 10 champions that people call "OP." And, sometimes people are just better than you?

It's a thread because I get tired of people repeatedly complaining in threads about champions being "OP" all the time

This implies that less than 10% of League's champions are viable, and that there's absolutely no way to beat them.

There will always be a top 3 picks for each position, because players watch pros do stuff and then mimic them. Meanwhile, where do you think the pros are taking their cues?

thing is, there's people and then there's mongoloids.

Common nomenclature is 'Peoples with down syndrome."

Any champions "viable" if you like them. It sucks to lose games. I lose a lot of them, but I still have fun. It's a game, and it serves for entertainment. It doesn't determine your life. Just enjoy it, and while you enjoy it, get better at it.

I think your under the impression people scream OP whenever they lose to a champion. Lee Sin is bitched about because he has a loaded kit, and little to no counter play.

No, just when they have repeated games with champions they can't counter, and then complain in forums.

Well then I would have to say you are wrong.

As much as I hate jumping on band wagons of "Lets hate _____ today" Riot has even pointed out the problems with the champions people scream OP at.

They know Lee Sin has an overloaded kit, but they don't want to make him not fun to play, Which is fine, because now that I know the problem they have I understand why they can't just wreck his ratios and remove things.

They know Zed does a lot more then he should be able too, and just like I predicted last week, once his first tweaks came out people would assume that was it for the tweaks and then bitch for a few days about how nerfing his attack speed was a simple slap on the wrist, No according to Riot they slowly whip out changes to make sure they are going the right direction, I am sure next patch they will have another change for him, but fuck, no one on this forum wants to not complain so whats the point in bringing it up.

People do not complain at "OP" champions, they complain at the unfairness after a champion has been massively voted for a gut and they keep nerfing others that they probably main.

With excuses such as "massive uproar" and slaps in the wrist, you get yourself a lynching mob.

"Braum can block Caitlyn's ult"

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here.

Strategy is Key to winning. Braum has a position and certain way to help his team. Same with every other champion. They all can help their team in one way or another, but sometimes there are poor team compositions, or just bad teams in general, whether due to technical issues, 1 bad player, or a whole team of players who are not as good as the opposing team.

I understand that.

What I don't understand is that anyone can block Caitlyn's ult, regardless if braum or not.

I just used Braum as an example because he can block it without taking damage.
