Thoughts on Zileans Passive, and the indicator on his E not being true to what it displays in-game.

So I've been playing Zilean for a hot minute now and have noticed TWO things about his kit that stood out the most when playing him. I looked around to see if anyone else share the same thoughts before posting as this would be my first post ever on submitting a bug/issue, but sadly the latest posts I saw about Zilean was about a year ago. item 3070 So without further ado.

> Zileans Passive (TIME IN A BOTTLE) > Zilean stores time as experience. >When he has enough Experience to finish an ally's level. He can right-click them to impart it. >Zilean receives as much Experience as he gives. Cannot be used in combat.

  • **_Zileans passive _**has got to be the most useless and pointless passive I've experienced. From what I've notice, his passive require any of your teammates being close to leveling up. To be exact, any of your teammate being 1-2 minion away from leveling up. I haven't punched in any numbers to find if that is true or not, but what I can say for sure is that every time I use Zileans passive I do notice that it's near **_that _**amount as I would test it from time to time by not using my passive when I normally would've. The only perk is that Zilean himself gets the same amount of experience, but as I said earlier about it being close to 1-2 minion away worth of experience, isn't really impressive in the end.

I know it might sound trivial, but as a support main, ADC can usually get that 1-2 minion rather quickly. Rendering your passive useless.

  • Zileans E (Time warp) This one is not really in-depth as Zileans E itself is fine as it is in my opinion. It's more directed toward the range that it has not being true to what it indicates in-game. I would find myself chasing the ADC down when using E on them walking back to lane. In-game skill indicator says I am within max range, but the skill would not activate unless I'm closer to them. Happens to me quite frequently in-game actually.

I am not usually the one to nitpick, and I'll still play ZIlean regardless if you guys read this and decide not to fix it (understandable as there are more important bugs you guys got your hands on) because hes a fun champion, but it's just that since I started maining Zilean, as no one seems to play him(maybe the reasons posted above), it just became more apparent to me.

So getting ahead in EXP over your lane opponents is useless?

Well to be fair, it's given the same EXP as just one or two minion worth of EXP and only at a specific time frame. Not saying getting ahead in EXP is bad but probably change how u can apply his passive differently would be nice? I had issues where I was waiting for my ADC to get to that time frame to use passive, but he would just level up through clearing the minion quickly. Not saying it happens all the time, but it's just one of those "What if a different passive would be better?" type of moment that just popped in my head when playing.

What i would think of would be mordes Passive but instead of "If he kills a minion near an ally champion" it would be "if an ally champion kills a minion near him" the Exp amount would have to be tweaked obviously but it would probably be better

"Hey where are you going let me use my passive on you, HEY YOU CAN LEVEL UP COME BACK" Current Zilean problems

Its called balance. Some parts of the kit are weaker to compensate for other parts. Like in this case his game changing ult

I think the exp accumulates if its not used so it doesnt matter if the adc whatever levels quickly.

I find it to be on a low enough cooldown that it adds up significantly over time that you can possibly be 2-3 levels above your lane opponents by midgame

Oh, I actually didn't think of his passive like that. I thought it's a fixed amount, or has a limit on how much it accumulates. I'll check that out next time I play him and come back to you on that!
