Enemy Missing Ping

Does anyone actually use this ping to warn about a missing enemy? Or is it just universally accepted as a "wtf was that" ping. Because it's getting hard to tell.

I actually use this ping as I intended to warn my team about someone is missing, yet it not worked as intended

One day I'm playing together with my friend (a girl, relatively new to this game). I used that ping to warn the whole team about someone is missing, and she thought that she did a mistake and she thought that I scolded her passive-aggresively with that ping.

I really hoped that someday Riot changed the question mark ("?") symbol into something else. I personally felt really tilted when someone pinged "missing" to me when I did a mistake. I'd rather being yelled "WTF ur doing" than being treated this way.
