As an avid 3s player, I find it insulting that Riot is willing to give a for fun mode like URF the ability to give you mastery points, but TT players still can't gain it by playing an actual ranked mode. I really really hope this isn't another Dominion situation where Riot is just planning to outright remove the game mode, but their silence is beginning to unnerve me.
OP I have a related question I was wondering if you could answer: Is ranked 3s active right now? My brother and cousins tried it a couple weeks back and it gave no points.
Depends on your rank. Bronze - Gold is quite active during almost all times (except late night hours). Once you get to high gold through challenger the queues become quite long and often matchmaking pairs you up unfairly because so few teams queue simultaneously.
If by no points you mean mastery, that's what my post is complaining about. If you mean LP, then that's a bug and you should report it to Riot.
