OK so I have noticed that I have been losing more LP than I gain, even though I win more than I lose when I finally do lose it its like 21 lp. My LP gains on average are 15-17 LP, this only happened after i lost to a platinum duo with a gold, and i was only gold 4 at the time.... i lost 24 LP that game for some reason while everyone on the other team was like gold 3- 1. Ever since that day I have had a different outlook on the ranked system. Thanks for listening, any answers would help, feel free to reply with your own idea of how this works. riot says you're too bad for gold, so they want you to drop. plain and simple. The same thing happened to me even though I was on a win streak and I've always had more wins than losses. but rito thinks im a bronze baddie so it doesnt matter

I don't play rankeds (too stressful for me), but I know that LP gain/loss depends on your mmr (and elo). You can find more anwers via google search :)
