[Suggestion] ARAM Design-Bug Fix :: Buying desired champions causes regret.

============================================

Problem: Sometimes you buy a champ because they're fun in the regular game or w/ever. But they're the last thing you want to play in an ARAM. When they come up on the ARAM random select, it makes you regret ever having bought that champ.

============================================

Solution: A system of **Preferred **Champions and **Shunned **Champions.

Players may designate champions as either shunned or preferred.

When an ARAM game picks a **shunned **champion, the user can spend a reroll point to reroll from their pool of preferred champions.

============================================

Solution Implementation Details:

Players may choose as many champions as they like as Preferred. Players must have chosen at least x Preferred champions for every y champions they would like to designate as Shunned.

Suggested values: x = 3 ; y = 1

Preferred and shunned champions can only be selected from champions the user owns. (Want to shun more champions? Then you better buy more that you like! User wins, riot wins, everybody wins, etc)

The option could be set from the champions page in client, with sorting options added for preferred / shunned just like it already has for other categories (owned, available, not owned, etc)

This option would have no effect on Random Selection in other game modes (since they don't allow rerolling).

Optional Variant on Reroll Cost: Players would still need a full reroll point to reroll, but would be refunded at the end of the game for half a point -- effectively making rerolling a shunned champion cost only half a point (or less).

============================================

Example:

A player has **45 **owned champions, and there are **5 **on free week he doesn't own. So there's a pool of **50 **champions that ARAM might roll for that player.

That player has purchased -- but really doesn't like using in ARAM -- Eve, Shaco, Nasus, Shen, or Udyr. So the player has shunned them, after designating 15 or more other owned champions as preferred.

(The player also does not like playing Teemo, who happens to be on free week. But since the player can only shun champions they own, they do not get to shun Teemo. Thus we have a strange incentive to buy champions we don't like in order to guarantee not having to play them... Whereas before, if Teemo was on free week and you were rolled into him, you were stuck with the little scout)

So, since our player has 5 shunned champions, they have 10% chance of one of them being selected. Which means their pool of champions goes from 50 champions who may or may not be suited to ARAM to a guaranteed 15+ who they do enjoy playing. For once, players might be ecstatic to see Eve get rolled in their ARAM!

Preferred / Shunned Indication Interface Example: Here's a rough prototype of how the champions page (which doesn't seem to get used very much anyway) might look: http://i.imgur.com/kLCXU6y.jpg

Or just make every champion unlocked for everyone in ARAM. That way we don't have to deal with ARAM only accounts anymore.

What he said.

I have been saying it ever since ARAM launched. I even leveled an account just for ARAM, because I got sick of getting stuck with terrible champs for ARAM, or champs that I just don't enjoy. I own every champ on this account, and it it is just so annoying.

I would be more OK with it, if I didn't have to play against people that only have like 10-20 champs that are great ARAM champs.

Which would be incredible -- but I don't see Riot choosing the option that doesn't monetize...
