Hello, today I was going to try Azir. I bought him and I looked up his masteries and it seems like he uses attack speed runes(duh). Sadly, I do not have this kind of rune page at the moment. I know that the runes I will buy will be refunded, but I am wondering about buying a new rune page. My question is:should I purchase it or not? Will it be of use after the runes/masteries rework? If not, will it get refunded?
Thx in advance.
Mysticman891 votesRune pages will continue to exist after preseason, although since they're editable in champ select having multiple pages may be of less value compared to currently.
I'd be somewhat reluctant to buy them at this stage, although in the long term wanting a full set of 20 rune pages is something I'd want for collection sake rather than practical so it wouldn't be the end of the world to buy for IP.
Quepha1 votesHas Riot indicated if rune page purchases made right now will still receive the partial refund? Or will the rule for runes themselves be applied wherein the pages will only be refunded if bought before the runes reforged announcement? I assume the partial refund would apply but I'm still not sure.
Assuming the refund applies, then if you were ever planning on getting those rune pages then now would be the time as the refund makes them effectively cheaper.
If the refund does not apply OR you do not think you would need the extra page(s) in the new system, then it would probably be better to just cannibalize one of your current pages to use for Azir.
sun eater1 votesWhen you say "since they're editable in champ select", do you mean that I can alter from runepage to runepage, or change the runes from the runepage?(pretty sure it's option 1)
Mysticman891 votesAs in, you could have a single rune page and change the runes in it at the time of champ select, so you can use the same rune page for playing janna support as you use for jax top as you use for talon mid, and just pick the runes you want in that rune page at the time.
Having multiple pages is only useful as a convenience so you can have some pre-made rune pages set up so you don't have to remake your page every game.
