*These Nuclear Builds Might be Getting out of Hand*
I tried an Ekko nuclear build since they're all the hype. It worked well, I got an S, but are they really better than regular meta builds?

Seems quite strong. You get quite a fair bit of instant burst with them, which riot has been trying to do away with on individual assassin kits. Instead of scaling their damage with AD or AP, they just get item burst for the instant 1 shot.
NB3 did it and got fed AF, but he was jungle as usual for Ekko. For AD he replaced Gunblade with IE and it seems to work just fine as well (see the engage at 8:02).

The assassins get unassassin'd, and the divers become the new assassins kek
Is it just me, or do mages not have any real high-powered damage items the way they used to?
So what I mean is, consider the average amount of AP you get from an AP item now. It's a lot different from the days of Deathfire Grasp where items had real niches they filled. Sure, Luden's is still pretty good, but other than that... why wouldn't you build the defensive items and max CDR? Your damage output won't be much different overall and you'll be far more difficult to kill... am I missing something here?
