GGS vs TL. Really excited to see Gnar, Tristana, and Sejuani again!!! /s Isn't it ironic that League has more "characters" than Dota yet variety in picks is literally non-existent? LOL = 139 Champions http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_champions DOTA2 = 108 heroes http://dota.wikia.com/wiki/DOTA_2_Heroes

Since Data for 2018 isn't complete yet for both games let's take a trip down memory lane for last year's pick rate of both 2017's largest tournament LoL World Championship 2017 most picks https://esports.mobalytics.gg/champions?&season=7&tournament=77 1st Tristana - 50.4% (jfc this means for every game there is a 1/2 chance you see a Trist on either side!) Janna - 48.7%, Lulu - 46.2%, Gragas - 46.2%, Sejuani - 44.5% DOTA 2 International 2017 https://www.gosugamers.net/dota2/hero-stats 1st Sand King - a whopping 43% Puck - 34%, Queen of Pain - 31%, Earthshaker - 31% Clockwerk 26%!

Look at that metaslaving! Win rate for top 5 most picked Trist - 53.3%, Janna - 74.1%(literally just pick this and win), Lulu - 40.0%, Gragas - 67.3%, Sejuani - 52.8% Only Lulu seem to be balanced enough that teams can't just mindlessly spam and locked in the champ and guarantee a win Sand King - 44%, Puck - 47%, Queen of Pain - 54%, Earthshaker - 46% , Clockwerk - 50%

Ban Rate and the failure of the balancing team. If you have the literal of best of the best of the Earth playing a videogame and they all agree in unison that a champ is so broken even they with their 100s of hours if not 1000s they dedicate to playing this game bans a champion like Kalista for 95.8%!!! https://esports.mobalytics.gg/champions?&season=7&tournament=77 compared to Dota2's most ban hero on International 2017 Night Stalker for 63% which is still around for Galio's 58.0% who btw won 74.3% games while for the games Night Stalker did went through and saw play only boasted a staggering win of 54%. Going back to Kalista if she did saw play she literally won every single one of them, no you didn't read that wrong. Kalista literally has a 100% win rate for the games she wasn't banned.

"B-but Dota Players maybe don't play to win" DOTA 2 2017 Prize 1st Place = $10,862,683 http://dota2.prizetrac.kr/international2017 vs LoL 2017 Prize 1st Place = $ 1,855,114 https://lol.gamepedia.com/2017_Season_World_Championship Yeah I defo see they have literally no incentive to be metaslaves

Would really like to hear your opinion on this guys. I don't play Dota 2 just like to point out how stale our supposed Super Bowl is. Where imho most of the patches are heavily reliant upon or the current meta in general.

Poll explanation: Also here is the supporing points to my poll Do you believe that streamers have a sway in the meta? With ADCs being the most effective role with Jungle 2nd isn't it weird that most streamers main those roles? ADC = tyler1, qt, sneaky, brtt, Gosu, doublelift, jungler = trick2g, nb3, iwilldominate, oddone, I'm sure there are more but this is me not even having a Twitch account/ aka don't even watch streams just names I usually see on norms when people BM.

I made a post a couple years ago with a suggestion:

Before each LCS match, have a random 2 champions with 90+% pick/ban rate disabled before the game starts. This would mean both teams would have to pick or ban something different, thus increasing the amount of champions one may see in each given match. And the random disables can't be the same as the previous game. You could even increase this number to 3 or even 4 champions disabled to increase the number of champions we could see in each match.

I can't imagine who wouldn't like seeing less of the same old friggin' champions every...single...game. I mean I like Sejuani, but holy crap.
