Possible Rework

Given Azir’s Azir performance in Worlds, as well as my personal experience in playing Azir (lvl 7 mastery on my old account), I feel that a rework to the way that Azir deals damage would help address his dominance in pro play, make him more viable in a wider range of positions, and help reaffirm his play style as dps with a focus on positioning. Reworking his w damage to scale increasing damage with each attack (setting the initial hit to deal less damage than it currently does, scaling up to deal more than it currently does) would help remove some burst potential, while allowing Azir to be more effective against higher hp targets, thus increasing his viability in other lanes (top). Implementing this would allow Azir to become a viable option in lower elo, while forcing pro players to focus more on positioning than poke and/or burst.

I don't think Azir needs a rework. His mechanics are up to the hyperoverloaded standards of new champs/reworks. So ima have to say no.

not saying your ideas are bad, im just saying Azir imo would be way at the end of the rework list. Not a priority at all.

While I agree that Azir might not be at the top of the rework list (I would save that spot for inting Sion), I very much doubt that he is at the bottom either, especially given all the attention Rito has been giving him whenever someone plays well with him. I just wanted to try to get an idea out there that had the community behind it, so Rito doesn’t hit him like they have in the past (w rework, gutted early game, decreased range, passive rework, etc.).

Any possible rework that isn't Yorick is not one I want to see. Dumbest most overpowered anti-fun retard of a champion in the game.

I’ve read here on the Boards before that there are two types of Azir players: the Emperors and the Shufflers. Turning Azir into a bruiser-type champion with ramping damage would honestly help both styles, but the Shufflers would get the shorter stick, as they play for the burst.

Hmm that’s an interesting point. Perhaps a solution to this could be a passive somewhat similar to Vel’Koz’s Velkoz in that his skills would trigger a passive effect that stacks. This could be a visual indicator of the ramping damage, and various skills, such the ult at the end of the shuffle, would proc the passive to a higher degree, thus allowing for more burst potential when the ult is used.

I just dont know who was the rioter that gave green light to a champ with the kit Azir had on release.

Well if you look at the release notes for Azir, the project is described as “good execution on a bad idea”, which is probably why Rito hates Azir so much.

Funny, I consider Azir a bad execution of a good idea.

Ha I am of the same opinion.
