Hello everyone, I have been playing rek sai as much as I can and for me she seems to work better (a lot better) on the left side rather than the purple side. The tunnels are just better that way. The top gangs are way easier and also the drag fights. Baron not so much but then again, once I get the leads from drag there is hardly a fight at the baron anymore. What are your thoughts?
Cale0171 votesI actually find that her top ganks are easier when playing on purple side because of the placement of that wall at the end of river, which you can come up to and tunnel under to basically put yourself all the way in the lane as opposed to the blue side top river wall where you tunnel through and only get to that bush and have to walk the rest of the way to the lane. But that's just me.
As for the rest I can kinda see what you're going for, but it's no more than any other jungler has an advantage on with dragon. And even then it's not a matter of who has a better chance with the dragon fight, just that blue side has a slightly better access point. However remember that if blue side aren't playing champions who can hop over that wall they have to go a bit out of their way to first walk around the pit and then through river a few steps to the relatively small entryway, whereas purple side can rush straight down from their blue buff and crowd into the dragon pit in one straight line. So while blue has slightly easier access to warding it, their entry isn't necessarily as easy especially when lacking mobility options that can get over the wall. And just because Rek'Sai can doesn't mean her other teammates can as well.
1SpellCaster11 voteswell that's true but here to remember is drag calls (at least the 1st one) are seldom made when the team mates are not already in lanes, mid and bot which have been pushed. At least that is the case when I call for drag help. It makes a slight disadvantage of losing lanes and the chance to take the turrets but by the time we finish the 1st drag some noob (yes i said it) is walking there to ward and dies. Also I have been doing well with her on the right side as well finding the right spots to tunnel. But on the left side top gangs if you tunnel from between the tri bush and the river you can land right underneath the pushed top lane. On the bot side get behind the darg then from near the enemy tri bush to right behind them. and mid is the same as any other jungler I suppose. I read that that this feature was not intended and her tunnels over extend but till it is fixed( if it ever is) rek is simply an awesome char made by riot.
Cale0171 votesKeep in mind that the upper and lower halves of Summoner's Rift are essentially mirrors of one another. So while a Rek'Sai on the blue side has easier ganks from bottom side tribush into bottom lane, the Rek'Sai on purple side has easier ganks from the tribush topside into top lane. The only reason the ganks appear to be better for a blue side Rek'Sai is because a gank on the bottom lane is a potential double kill, or at least two kills for your team if they go to different people, and there are two assists going to the other two teammates who don't get the kill on whatever champion died.
In other words, Rek'Sai ganks bot, gets one kill, and Vayne gets one kill. Thresh gets two assists, Vayne gets one assist and one kill, Rek'Sai gains one assist and one kill. Overall, if both enemy laners are killed, a Rek'Sai who ganks bottom lane will make more team gold than a Rek'Sai who ganks top lane as that will only result in a single kill and a single assist.
This is where the strategy and positioning for Rek'Sai come into play. Yes, a blue side Rek Sai might have a better entry into a pushed lane to gank, but his ganks are also weaker top lane, where you can instead focus on getting your top Riven or Nasus fed. And even if your entry into the bottom lane from purple side isn't as good, by tunneling across the wall into the bush on the purple side of the bottom river, and using her high movement speed when burrowed to get under enemies, you can still knock them up and try to help your laners get the kills. It just won't be as easy because you have to do a bit more moving.
That's just part of the strategy though. Just like how playing on the blue side of the map gives you a very slight advantage when it comes to sight on your screen since you aren't having to contend with the UI being partially in the way of your view like purple. Yes, this is something that is noticeable, but it isn't the reason that a game is won or lost as it isn't anything that proper positioning and engaging can't overcome.
Whatever small benefit is going to either side of the map, it's still up to the players to use what they have and it's just as easy to misuse an advantage as it can be to make use of your own skills to overcome one.

1SpellCaster11 votesWith my build on the left left with a few auto attack from the two bot laners I leave the red camp with 100% HP and my pots not used. I start W and every game I get questioned as to why I start W. The reason is speed, sense of getting invaded, knock ups, HEAL! that 25 max heal is simply amazing at lvl 1 red.

Really? what are your runes and masteries? Mine are AS reds & Quints, Armor yellows, MR blues. And 9/21/0 for masteries. Starting Gromp, then blue, wolves, chickens, Red Smite for health, and then Krugs, ending at around 1-150 hp assuming no leash.
