My Experience with Advanced Bots
I was "randomly selected to test our new Advanced Bot technology", and I have to say I was very impressed. I don't know how variable the skill levels are (if the bots skill changes with the team's mmr/elo). That being said I played around a Plat IV mmr game against them. I played Mid as Gangplank against Zed. As the game progressed I kept a notepad of my comments and reactions:
- One of the bots attempted to greet us, but returned a null string, this error seems to have been caught and displayed as "MISSING STRING: str_greeting_friendly"
- Zed's reaction time to avoid hard CC was strong, it wasn't impossible for my Vi to land a Q but it was a struggle.
- The Jungle Yi farmed, ganked, and controlled dragon all to a pretty good degree.
- The bots all farmed well, final farm counts were: Top Nasus: 342 Jungle Yi: 223 Mid Zed: 190 ADC Ezreal: 243 Support Thresh: 38
- Zed's all-ins were well calculated, but they assumed I would not use my exhaust/heal much. In multiple instances I found myself straight up outplayed by the Zed's ability to ult and counter anything I did to try to avoid damage.
- That being said, Zed would misplay/leave openings for counterplay that allowed my to win some trades while losing others.
- The Thresh tried to steal our dragons a few times, the timing on his hooks would have been perfect if our jungler hadn't smited.
- The entire bot team kept the map fairly well warded, similar to how a team of that elo wards.
