How to give turrets a bit more meaning
Hello everyone, on another post that was about how weak the current turrets are and how you could improve them, I wrote a comment about a possible solution and people really liked my idea. Since the post did not get much attention I will copy my comment here and if you could be so kind to upvote if you like it, maybe we even get Riot to see it this time.
> In most games you have the holy trinity, Damage dealer, Tank and Healer/Support. I thought you could try to combine this concept with the turrets since this trinity is also found in league.
>T1 Turret: Support.
- Like in Season 5 this turret gives everyone who stands near it a shield and something like a bit higher hp regeneration. This would be your safe haven to flee to if the laning phase is going rough for you.
>T2 Turret: Damage.
- Has some form of special attack and deals immense high damage. It's main purpose is to offer good fighting potential due to the high damage. A good opportunity to come back into the game after your first tower has already fallen and the enemies are pushing.
>T3 Turret: Tank.
- High amounts of hp and resistences make this turret your last bastion that helps you not only defending against the enemies that are coming to slap your base into pieces, but it also gives you time if someone else on your team is splitpushing or taking an objective (like dragon) in hopes that could save the game for your losing team.
>Nexus Turret: Not sure about that one yet.
- Maybe could have a little bit of everything?
This idea is ofc not fleshed out yet and just a vague idea, but giving each tower a special thing to do could certainly not only give turrets the buff they desperately need, but also give the possibility for new strategies and comebacks in different times of the game and make them more interesting overall.
