Dis-Cass-ter: Please do something about the Cassiopeia rework

If it wasn't obvious enough, the new Cassiopeia not only didn't fix any of the issues with Cassiopeia before (aside from bugs in her kit), but now she has a massive amount of other problems. Not only is she funneled into the same build every game, but she has no early game to speak of. The payoff is a late game which is basically that of any given ADC. She's insanely reliant on her passive to even exist. There's no real draw to playing her, the risk is overwhelming considering how her late game really isn't all that special any more. As someone who had mained Cassiopeia for almost a year, I'm now more upset than ever that Riot removed the ability to get a refund for reworked champions you've bought, along with the skins. It's that bad, there's nothing about this that's competent aside from the fact that bugs were fixed.

I don't have any faith that Stashu is gonna read this, and even less than no faith that Riot's gonna care, because they never did during the process of the rework or afterwards when everybody hated it. Nevertheless, we should try and spread the word: the Cassiopeia rework is absolutely horrible.

RIP Cass (2010-2014). We found you beautiful, once.

Thanks for this Caustic Crusader. Cassiopeia really needs more attention right now. +1

Breaks my heart to read IronStylus excellent " What do you guys want to do with Taric?" thread and wonder: Why couldn't Cass get this kind of love?

The payoff, while similar to that of an adc, is very much different. Magic Resist is far harder to itemize for than Armor. A champion that can then output the same amount of damage as an adc with more cc is a considerable threat.

A lot of the fun champions, Cassiopeia for example, are just so underpowered compared to the popular and boring champions that you see every game. It's very upsetting to me. Still, I'll keep playing the underpowereds because they're fun and deserve to be played.

I'm gonna bump this because I have found one saving grace for Cass: take her top to counter the ranged champs that plague it. She basically fits in to complete a sort of Rock-Paper-Scissors nature of top. Champs like Ryze and Teemo and whatnot that usually stomp melees get zoned and outfarmed to an almost unfair degree by Cass if she uses her Q exclusively for poking them, and farming with AAs and E. However, she'll get blown up by bruisers because she's not able to stay safe in any way or peel for herself in a way which is effective enough to save her unless she has her ult up, which is a high cooldown early on. Also, top's far more suitable as a farming lane, so she can get stacks very quickly top (I've reached 200 by 15 minutes).

That's all I really have to say. She still sucks mid, but you can take her top against the ranged cancer and she'll work. Basically lets you laugh at anybody who dares to first-pick Ryze.
