Increasing Diversity of Champions [Smite Rework]

Draqonic··1 votes·423 views

Lack of diversity of unique and niche picks in the jungle have been seriously hindered in this patch. The current jungle is by far harder than what it was before making way for the current jungle META we have now.

Smite currently deals 390-1000 true damage based on champion level. I propose that Smite is looked at to find a way to scale with AD or AP. Consider something like ([390-850]+(X% Bonus AD or Y% Bonus AP whichever is greater)

This will allow unique and niche junglers that are far overshadowed by current picks to have a place in the current jungle.

Pros: More diverse item builds Larger jungle pool selection

Cons: Tanks have lower Smite power

Nothing that involves pushing Tanks out of the jungle is a good idea

This wasn't about pushing tanks out of the jungle, its about giving an opportunity to other picks.

and indirectly push tanks out of the jungle really? scaling smites? wow, I have even more reason to pick any other champ over a tanky jungler

tanky junglers become relatively inferior

If the jungle is more "diverse" it implies that a long list of damage based champions become more viable

If damage based champions become more and more viable and thus more and more chosen, it will have the effect of pushing tanks out of the jungle

Maybe you should wait for Cinderhulk to show up before continuously complaining about something?

I mean..... yeah.

absolutely not, it gives ad junglers EVEN MORE clearing power and more time to camp lanes and have more map presence.

Why do champions who already clear camps and kill dragon quickly, and in some cases reliably solo it, need a better smite? Tank junglers aren't even popular currently either, it's AD bruisers, they aren't tanks and would just be a buff to them.
