(did i mention you can't kill him...)

meanwhile champions who are ''designed to be only be support'' deal no damage and are squishy.

Tahm is a tanky bursty mage support which can support just as well as any other support.

Fair.

Leona is very tanky, designed to be just support, but she also deals a considerable amount of damage. Most people don't notice this, but she does have quite the damage.

I was talking about like... Janna.

Nerf his attack speed and heals off of Grey Health, and he's balanced, but hey, thanks for perpetuating the circlejerk.

Do ppl forget he have no way to get to you? No gag closers and a slow that is on a skill shot he have weak aoe presence in a team fight compare to other tanks

Oh NO! A tanky champion who can do damage with a free(?) teleport! Does that mean TF, Panth, and Rek'Sai all have free teleports now?

Also, he is killable... if he wasn't, he would always be played, and have a 100% winrate.

Since when are TF, Rek'Sai, and Panth considered "Tanky"? all of those aforementioned champions are supposed to be damage dealers.

They asked if Twisted Fate, Pantheon and Rek'sai ultimates all counted as "free" teleports.

Learn to read.

Since when has Tahms teleport been the issue? and Free? so mana cost doesn't matter huh? Perhaps they should learn to be more clear.

This is his response

Is that not clear?

I didn't consider them tanky. I was just asking if they had "free" teleports too.

the problem with with Tahm Kench is the fact that he can Outrade 90% of champions after level 6 at almost any stage of the game, while doing nothing than building health

Asayake 5150glow1 votes

and does damage based on how tanky he is, as well as how tanky you are?

Like Sejuani?

Like Sejuani?

Sej - No poke

Tahm - Q on a 6 second cooldown with amazing bases and AP scaling, with slow/stun.

Sej - Aoe damage scaling on 3% of her max health at max rank, with the next auto doing 6% of her max health at max rank, with a 11 - 7 second CD.

Tahm - Auto's and abilities do 20 + 4% of his max health at first rank (which you will get before the being able to max a single skill), up to 8% of his max health at max rank. No CD, cuz it applies on auto's. And that's just the passive - it also comes with mobility.

Sej - 650 range knock up, small AOE, with 15 - 11 second CD, which can be used to engage.

Tahm - 800 range stun with Q once passive is proc'ed, which lasts for 1.5 seconds (probably longer than the knock up). 6 second cooldown. Also acts as poke.

Sej - Slows enemy for 70% (max rank) only after you hit them with a skill or auto (means you must be in melee range). 6 second cooldown at max rank.

Tahm - Slows enemy for 70% (max rank) at 800 range, with a 6 second cooldown at all ranks. Also possible stun.

And now we're comparing Tahm's W to Sej's ult. ...

Sej - AOE skillshot 1.25/1.5/1.75 stun with 1175 range, decent AoE, 150/250/350 + 80% AP damage. 130/115/100 second cooldown.

Tahm - Targeted 2/2.25/2.5/2.75/3 second suppression with 250 range (but only after passive is stacked (not as hard as it sounds)). Then stuns target for an extra 0.25 seconds after regurgitation, doing 20%/23%/26%/29%/32% + (2% AP)% of their Max Health. Also a projectile damage of 100/150/200/250/300 + 60% AP on a 14/13/12/11/10 second cooldown.

Sej - bonus 10/15/20/25 armor after hitting skill or auto, as well as slow resist.

Tahm - If he is not taking damage for 2.5 seconds, he starts renegerating for 20%/26%/32/38%/44% of all the damage he takes. Active: Converts Grey health into a decaying shield.

If permitted to constantly restore grey health and never activates the ability, Tahm Kench has an effective 125 / 135 / 147 / 161 / 179 % total health.

If he uses the shield, he theoretically has 199% total health (though the shield does decay)

So... yeah...

Actually Sejus total aoe damage scaling on max rank is 12% and the next aa does 6% of her targets max hp.

Tahms ult scales with bonus HP, which is a LOT worse than max HP

Sejus Q is amazing mobility, helps a lot vs minions and mosters, can be used to both engage and escape, and is pretty good CC as well.

Tahm pretty much never gets his stun off because he needs his Q to gap close and apply 3 stacks to W an enemy, its single target and only functions as poke in lane, which Tahm loses anyway against equally skilled players most of the time.

Seju slows enemies with her E which also works after her ult so she doesnt have to be in melee range

Tahm slows one enemy + its blocked by minions

And now were comparing the melee, single target, mostly support spell to the high range aoe stun with awesome scaling... u cant do that.

Also, http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/2yEQeXWN-tahms-burst-at-level-9 here, simple math. I dont see the problem lol.

http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Sejuani Nope, it's 3% each time. while Tahm's is each auto... He could get at least 2 auto's in that time, which is 16% at max ult rank. And it has no CD... And I'm sorry about the first time. However, 4 - 6% is no match for 20 - 32%.

So you say it can slow enemies after her ult? Great! It gets range every 130/115/100 seconds! Totally worth!

Tahm will get off his stun every single time if you engage on him. Then he doesn't need Q to gap close, and if you start running after 2 autos from Tahm... his team'll finish you.

{quoted} And now were comparing the melee, single target, mostly support spell to the high range aoe stun with awesome scaling... u cant do that.

Your right. Tahm's is so much better.

You believe Sej's ult has better scaling? Tahm will literally chunk 30% of your max life. Added to that, his Regurgitating a minion has roughly the same damage/scaling as Sej's ult.

And lastly, the math on that link was wrong.

Penns1 votes

Yeah its 3% per second but you normally either consider total damage or write "per second" which you didnt. It might be no match in damage, but Sejus W is an instant auto attack reset that doesnt require you to hit the champ 3 times before being able to cast it, it also doesnt make you nearly "snare" yourself for the duration and Sejus W actually does aoe dmg.

You said "must be in melee range", which isnt true. It doesnt really matter if her ult has 120 sec cooldown, in a 3v3, 4v4 or even 5v5 its totally worth if you only hit the slowing part of her ult couldnt catch up to your enemies otherwise.

Well thats the problem, dont walk into Tahm and let him do that, unless you know hes gonna die anyway... Kite him and let him HAVE TO gap close with it, thats called counterplay.

How is it better? Like I said, you cant compare a melee (weakness), single target (weakness) spell with bad scaling (weakness) to a ranged (strength), aoe (strength) spell that slows even when it misses (strength) lol.

Yeah, the 30% are base damage, his scaling on it is non existent since you cant afford to build (a lot of) AP on Tahm. And casting it on a minion is a flat out waste of an ability most of the time and might even lose you the game if your enemies engage right after as Tahm is literally useless without his W.

Whats wrong about the math in that thread? Show me 1 (or more) example and Ill prove you wrong lel (except I actually made a mistake but.. I aint make mistakes Kappa).

XD I'm the same guy you're talking to in that thread. I put all my math down.

Well, Tahm's W can't miss, which is a HUGE + against skillshots. And it does percentage max life damage, so if they have over 1000 life, it does over 300 damage. And everyone will have over 1000 life come lategame. Sej's ult's base is 300 maxed.

Penns1 votes

To be fair, Sejus R cant really miss either except you flash out of it and even then the slow might still hit lol. Sejus ult is a stun, which is better than making an enemy untargetable in every way. Its also aoe, not melee, and so on. But like I said, its pretty hard to compare a regular spell to an ult...

"A tanky champion who can do damage" "Unkillable monster"

Now use your brain and see how that could be misconstrued.

Now I will spell out a more clear comment "Oh NO! A tanky champion~~ who can do damage~~ with a free(?) teleport! Does that mean TF, Panth, and Rek'Sai all have free teleports now?

Quad Erat Demonstrandum

Yeah, Riot don't care dude. You are just another person to pay them money. He's has absurd mobility, CC, damage, and a teleport and super tanky. Yeah, his design takes the cake for idiocy.
