The way to improve Heimerdinger

I played 10000+ ranked games with Heim since s1, and I am diamond in S5, I know lots about Heim.

The problem of current Heim is that he dominate noob opponents, on the othen hand, he has no chance vs more capable opponents. He is too easily countered by Jayce/Riven/Wukong. Moreover, if enemy team has many AOE, his turrets just melt really fast and he will have 0 dmg.

I tried to use Heim a few games in TT Hexakill. The original design of Heim is that he should work best during group pushing. However, the result is very disappointing, every team fight the turrets just melt too quick and I hardly deal any dmg.

That is the problem compared to the old Heim kit - his late game fall too quickly. I must say the current heim kit is better in many ways (especially ult), but it also may Heim worst last game and too countable.

I was thinking, what if we can combine the good side of old and current kit?

  1. Heim start with only 2 turrets, and they have no beam

  2. in Item Store, Heim can purchase "parts", parts will give a buff to Heim.

  3. for missile parts, there is 2 choice (they replace each other): skill shot missile or auto chase missile. It dont cost $ but you can only change it in store (note: Ult missile will always a skill shot no matter which parts you use)

  4. turret parts can add up

    • 3rd turret (level 1 parts, $0 as 1st turret part or $500)
    • turret beam (level 1 parts, $0 as 1st turret part or $500)
    • turret coat - turret immune to all skill dmg, until you basic attack it 2 times like killing a ward and it apply to Supa turret as well (level 2 parts, cost $1000 and only available after lv8)
    • turret blast - if turret was destroyed, it explode in 800 radius and deal dmg (level 2 parts, cost $1000 and only available after lv8)
  5. For the "parts" idea we can even make heim a viable support

    • healing turret - for every 3 turret casted, Heim create a healing turret which allow slow health regen for ally (level 1 parts, $0 as 1st turret part or $500)
    • healing blast - if turret was destroyed, it explode in 800 radius and heal ally (level 2 parts, cost $1000 and only available after lv8)

He's in a decent spot right now. All he needs is scaling health on his turrets and he'll be good to go. Currently, his turrets do a lot of damage and is a nuisance early game while they're negligible at best in late game (Not counting his ult turret)

IMO the upgrades would remind me a little too much of viktor, although it's a cool idea! I haven't played heim for very long, but I think he's in a decent place :p

Make his turrets more durable late game. That seems like the obvious answer to the issue you are pointing out.

i only hope the turret recharge time is reduced...

and if that's not enough maybe the turret and UPGRADE turret attack speed and MR is increased...
