Honestly i think Riot should elimate the chat feature in ranked......leave it to just pings. When was the last time some POSITIVE was said in chat? All chat is 99.9% of the time is someone being TOXIC AF or complaining about something. Once someone says something negative is just snowballs in AFKs or inting its extremely annoying. I got to the point i just mute the entire game and just play my game cause I didnt want to "hear" people complain or whine or blame someone else for thier mistakes. This I think would allow people just to focus more on thier game and objs then being blamed or belittled most people just Discord anyways. Just my Thoughts

agreed, chat is exactly how you say it is right now. someone dies, 90% of the time you see "GG" an it snowballs. toxicity only spreads. If you in solo/dou there is no need to talk. just play. pings should be more than enough. They could make it kinda easy to by having you hold G then click on a players char. for example. if you wanted a Ahri to have a blue, click her portrait, then while still holding G bit Blue. An indication will come up, Ahri Blue Buff.

Same with objectives an wards. Click a players TP, then while holding G key, click on a ward to tell them TP here for a planned fight or something. or visa versa, click you TP an the players trinket. So "Shen indicates he has TP, leona's trInket not on/is on CD"

I make an effort to build a game plan via chat. What targets need to be focused and what parts of the map need vision so we can grab an Obj. If this can be replaced with a ping system then I don't mind. The current options are not good enough thou. Very least need to have extra presets so you can have a quick conversation like "focus enemy mid" "Agreed" "no" or "Vision barron" "Group Dragon."

Fuck no. I need the chat if I want to tell my team to focus the enemy champ that has more damage if they are focusing the wrong target. Or I tell them that we can bait at baron pit/dragon pit for a kill. Or that one of us should split etc.
