I just bought Yasuo and I like to normal cast everything to have more control over my abilities. Why doesn't Yasuo's steel tempest have a range indicator or a missile line display? The first two stacks I would understand but the third stack is a traveling skill shot; I need to aim it like I do a thresh hook. Otherwise he feels like a solid champ.
Steel tempest is just always treated as an "in the direction of your cursor" ability - like smartcasting. I hate smartcasting, but you get used to steel tempest, don't worry. Secondarily, didn't you try him on free week? Why buy a champion without knowing if you like how they function first? Not really a mean criticism, but I'm curious. I never buy a champ until I've played them in at least 3 games.
Get used to it and use it for everything since smartcast is infinitely superior.
