Season 7 placements

I ended season 6 with Platinum V 62LP, played 10 placements (won 4), and got placed into Silver II.And while I understand that EVERYONE will be placed significantly lower than last season, I don't understand why I got Silver II when my MMR is around 1900 (Gold I).I know that MMR on op.gg isn't 100% accurate, but surely it can't be off by that much.Honestly I don't think I should've gotten placed this low.

Where did you get placed, and is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

The higher rank you ended the more the reset is. High silver or low gold seems right depending on placements.

A full tier is pretty normal, and then wobbling a division or two due to placements sounds about right.

Also, I find op.gg and similar are particularly bad with their mmr estimates at the start of seasons. (Estimates are based on games played, of which there aren't that many for almost everyone for this season, and it's possible some sites might also be taking into account some preseason games that were before the soft reset if they're just blindly looking at your ranked match history.)

I actually expect you were around gold 1 MMR right before the soft reset (despite being plat 5), the soft reset pulled you down about a tier to silver 1 ish MMR, and then going 4-6 pulled you down very slightly, and op.gg and similar simply haven't had a chance to realise the MMR drop.
